In light of what's being revealed (assuming it's true), the "Jekyll & Hyde" play calling might've been the result of the tug of war between Morton and Bowles, which would explain a great deal. Sometimes it almost seemed like two (or more) different people were calling the plays.
It almost seemed like he was saying "oh you wanna run more, ill just call runs stupidly. 3rd and 10, run". I like TB, but no coach is winning a super bowl with a ground and pound. McCown having a career year is certainly a feather in Morton's hat. But that being said, our offense ranked 25th or worse in all meaningful measurables (passing yrds, run yards, points scored, etc).
