Its time for the pros to stop discarding the NAM with noreaster type setups. This...well...a hybrid...but still, the NAM did very well and its the model we kind of went with 3 days ago. You cant have a 960 low dumping a few inches on the coast. Enjoy guys!! for the record..dont know how much you will end up with..or when it will end....just know the Garden State Parkway is getting clobbered.

insane picture GG. Incredible storm. Not going to break records up north with amounts....but pressure wise, it will be in the top 5 I would think. ADVISE: Get the snow up and out when it ends...because what you do not get up will not move come Saturday morning..it will not move.
that is fantastic advice and 100% on point. Around here the cold doesn't usually stick around but we are going to see north pole temps friday and saturday - that snow is going to get rock hard. You need to shovel and sweep the car now while it's nice and fluffy. Or don't and have a really nasty weekend
Thank God we cleared enough of the garage to put both cars. So much snow. Saw Saturday's low is -4F. Great.
Days like this I miss having Optimum. Verizon doesn't have Weather Channel and I miss Optimum's NJ12 News/Weather. Ugh. Verizon sucks when it comes to weather.
It is coming down good here in West New York NJ. used the snowblower about an hour to 90 minutes ago and already back up to 1-2 inches

Schools closed tomorrow. Municipal buildings closed today. Even Walmart closed today. The damn bowling alley closed! Still snowing relatively hard. It's pretty cool, the cops are livestreaming patrols so people can see how awful the roads are.
My brother just called me from the LIRR heading to Long Island City for work..... said it's "Planet Hoth" (his house is across a canal in Island Park) and hopes he can still take a train home
