    I know another one

But its the run game that has us losing to Clev and Chic. Clev Chic and Jax have the 7th, 1st and 5th ranked pass def. How can you knock the guy for having Bad games vs them.

Face the facts Chad cannot carry this team single handed like a P Manning or Brady. but with a decent run game or at least the threat of some kind of run game we could have won as many as 3 of the 5 loses (Clev Indy Chic)

ex Chic 1st and goal Houston 1yrd gain 2nd and 9 Barlow 3yrd gain then Chad gets picked off

If these two guy could have picked up 7+ yards on two carries Chad wouldnt have had to throw on 3rd and 6

Do you think the bears def didnt know that Chad was throwing?

    Its a team game

Chad did carry us single handedly the first month when we had no running game and the D was abysmal.

Cleveland has a top 7 rush D... Maybe by the #s, but not in talent. Also, they have that because teams can pass all day.

    Chicago I can excuse.

JAX... I can't excuse losing that badly...

Pennington was awful last week. Absolutely awful. 1 player doesn't single handedly lose a game, but he came close.

After 10 games the running game is statistically in the top half of the league and the passing game is in the botton third of the league. Early in the year when we had no running game Chad actually played better. Chad also has the okay to audible at the line and call any play in the playbook.

By the way having to throw and making a crappy read, throwing into double coverage and getting picked off in the end zone is hardly the fault of the running game. If Chad makes the right read it's a TD. If he misses the read and throws the ball away it's a field goal. How is that the fault of the running game?

    Pass Def not Rush Def

Why would I say give Chad a break vs top ranked run def

Finally a Chad supporter who understands that Chad forced the issue. That's exactly why we lost.

We actually started out running the ball WELL against Chicago though... so this argument is kind of defeated.

Say what you want Johnny but nearly everyone put the bears loss on Chad--he stunk. He does not have Herm and Bradway and his $64M contract as security anymore. He will likely be our starter for the rest of the year, but if we don't make the playoffs with the easy schedule I would not be surprised to see him elsewhere next year. I'm hoping Chad finishes his career as a jet, but his arm looks really weak to me (and everybody else) and you can only run so many short passes before the defenses move up.

You NEVER have to force a play. The worst thing that happens is you throw it away and kick a FG or punt.

If you are going to force plays continually you better have Brett Favre's arm and ego cuz you're gonna get picked a lot and take a lot of the blame.

Chad has thrown a minimum of 3 really stupid interceptions this year that have cost the Jets a chance to win those games. That's not what you expect out of a 30 year old 7 year vet.

If you call 3 negative runs in the first 4 (5 if you include the reverse) on the first drive running the ball well.

29 rushes for 80 yards (omiting the reverse) is great running all right.

Against 8 and 9 in the box? Heck yeah those are solid rushing numbers. Maybe if noodle arm could hit a pass beyond 7 yards, the RUN game could actually get on track. But Chad's ineffective passing makes it very difficult for them. I guarantee if we had a decent QB back there, our run game would be very solid.

    9 in the box???? LOL
What color is the sky in your world?
The only times they would have even 8 in the box was when we came out with tight in close formations.

there's no room with all the pennyphiles hiding after cleveland and chicago.

heck, even the texans beat j-ville twice, unlike noodle who was chopped liver when j-ville challenged him to beat them with his legendary arm....:eek:hmy:

Hey, I noticed you're dry humping the QB rating stat like a year-old Chihuahua now that it can be used in your anti-Chad arguments. I have always admired your prehensile spine.
