Yep. I am not watching another jet game unless a touted drafted qb is starting or it's playoffs.fuck this team they don't care at all about what needs to be done. They just treat every year as boom bust because the Giants are in the same stadium well guess what Giants about to get the guy we wanted for years so it's going to get far far worse

I know you have been an advocate for Petty. The last sentence in my post wasn't aimed at you, but others. I know that Petty's age, lack of experience, and lack of quality coaching from our CS is working against him, but I still think he has potential and value. Hack's 5-6 years younger, but imo is 10x worse than Petty, so if the Jets were to cut one of the QBs, it should be Hack. Because he was a 2nd round pick, and all GMs are reluctant to admit that they made a mistake, he will probably be the one the Jets keep, although I don't think he will develop if the Jets give him 5-6 years, and Petty will be the one to be cut or traded. If Petty is released or traded, I think he will be signed by another team and will get a shot there.

The thing to remember about Petty playing against 3rd stringers in preseason is that he also was playing with 3rd stringers, so that evens out. His OL was much worse and so were his receivers. I don't think he looked worse at all. Every time he played, he energized and moved the offense and put up points almost every drive. IMO he just needs some practice reps to have a chance to develop timing and chemistry with the starters and to knock off the rust. Since the Jets' CS wouldn't know how to develop a QB if someone put a gun to their head, he probably won't get that chance here. It will happen elsewhere. At this point, I like Petty better than I do the Jets.

Blame it all on PSLs..without them at least a protest would mean something, the way it is they will never again give a shit about the fan base..so what if they lose a few bucks on concession sales, the seats are sold in perpetuity.

Well call me a traitor if you want. I might just switch to Giants. My dad is hardcore Giants and I lost my mom a few months ago and she was only 53. All she ever preached to me was to wake up positive and be a happy person. Needless to say loosing her put me into a depression and all this ass hole organization has done was kick me while I'm down giving the absolute worst case scenario with the Giants also getting the top pick. I was at the butt fumble and I think my only true moments of happiness as a jets fan is beating New England in the playoffs and Giants in OT. At least right now I can't have this aura of filth and negativity in my life. And everything I said is 100% true. Do I care about sports too much? Probably but lately I've had to use it as an escape more than I normally would. They say jets fans have to enjoy being angry and I just don't. I'm probably not done for good but I just need a break..

Sorry about your loss, it puts football in proper perspective. Our favorite sports teams should be a distraction from the pressures
of life, but we all tend to get too wrapped up in their ups/downs (Jets mostly down). After 50 years I turned in my Jets-1 license plate
to the state and haven't watched a single pre-season or regular season game, but must admit that I read most articles and stat sheets.
Still the past 4 months have been a lot less stress-full, I will go back when the time is right....can't let this team ruin my life!

Sorry about the loss of your mother. The holidays can be tough to get through after losing a parent. I'm not really the religious type, but I do believe in having faith when times get tough. With that said, stick around because it will be that much more rewarding when the Jets finally deliver the championship this fan base is starving for.

Sorry about the loss of your mother! I lost my own dear mom 6 years ago, but she had lived a good life (was 84) and had Alzheimers, so it was a blessing in a way. Take a break, change teams, or do what you must to stay healthy and positive. The Jets aren't worth ruining your perspective on life or your health. In fact, no sports team or anything else in life is either.

Hey, I think we easily make 50 years. We might give the Cubs a good run for the overall title of Most Futile Franchise in History.

Nah none of the teams that never won a SB are way ahead of us. Just to name a few Iggles, Chargers, Bills
