If Hack could play he’d play. There are plenty of QB’s coming out of college and contributing right away. Hack is a bust. Petty might have a future in the CFL if it’s still around. Jets should either heavily overpay for top tier FA QB and OL, heavily draft both, or just grab the FA QB and draft top OL. Oh, and end the Bowls era.
Yet on the road, with barely no talent, no qb the Jets stayed in the game. I mean were the Saints just playing down to the competition? Get the coach some talent, and I think you start seeing better results.
What a wonderful fail for me. I pressed record and thought I taped the game but I somehow only taped the last four minutes of NFL today. Haha, how does that happen? I had the game on, but was busy around the house and checked in on and off. I knew what the final score was, but later on I says to myself I says, OK, I'm in for some Chinese water torture. Laughed like hell when the "game" was three long commercials and and the end of NFL today. Yes, jetophile, there is a Santa Claus.
Stayed in the game? Is that worth a participation trophy? Or Do you get a medal? Maybe a lollipop? Fucking unreal. We have been such shit for so long, fans think there are moral victories now. Smdh
Yeah cause I absolutely called this a victory in some way. No matter how much you complain, Bowles and Mac will be back next year with a great opportunity to build this roster and get more talent.
“Staying in the game”,”guys playing hard”,” weren’t supposed to win a game”.This is all loser talk. You are not a loser & are better than this. I figure most of us have anywhere between 35-45 more seasons of this sickness called the Jets. Some have much more some much less.Im not willing to waste anymore seasons waiting to win. It’s win a god damn championship or NOTHING.every year is precious.Every game is precious. Every draft is precious Bowles is not the answer and I refuse to waste anymore energy waiting for the good Todd Bowles to kick in.3 years is long enough..
3 years making progress would have been more than what I would ask for. 1. The defense took a nosedive. 2. QB is still not found. 3. AND THIS TOILET OF A HEADCOACH IS SIMPLY NOT GIVING ENOUGH CHANCE TO THE YOUNG KIDS HE HAS. If this is not a moron in HC gig, I don't know what is.
This season was a wash from the get go, not sure what you guys expected. If the team goes out and takes care of business this offseason, I see a wildcard team with the potential to be more. But yeah 3 years, let's fire everyone cause they didn't get to the sb
Progress of any kind would’ve been nice. The defense sucks, the offense is worse & Bowkes is still coaching scared. And damn right fire em after 3 years w no SB.If they don’t like it they shouldnt have come Florham Park.Win or hit the road.Enough is Enough
If this season was a wash from the get go, why didn't the young kids get a shot all season long? Why were they ignored all summer long? If this season was a wash as you claim, then what did they have to lose? Or worse, if they thought that lowly of Petty and Hack, why didn't they draft a fucking QB during the draft??? And yet somehow this coaching staff deserves to stay for the sake of continuity? That's the biggest baloney I've seen today.
There is progress. The defense lacks a premier pass-rusher which has been the case for years now. Gotta get that addressed. The offense, yeah it sucks cause Petty is in there, but the fact remains the Jets offense scored a decent # of points with McCown in there. Jets need to upgrade the line and QB, and perhaps we see this team turn into a potential playoff team. Upgrading the line is essential because the Jets just cannot run the ball consistently. Coaching staff has rough edges, but I think the Jets can develop something here, but don't go and fire everyone just yet. One more year to see how they address the needs. Well if you want to fire everyone every 3 years, I can understand why you are a suffering Jets fan. You'll never see this team win with that mindset. Better off being a Browns fan.
The young kids did get a shot, they had all year long. Hansen has been getting receptions late, but was injured earlier in the year. 2 starting rookie safeties since the merger. Stewart getting more reps as the season progresses. Who else outside of, wait I know what young kids you are referring to now ... Oh thats right this post is about 2 shitty young QBs who will be replaced next year. Meh. Had all of the opportunity to grab it from McCown and McCown took the job from their entitled hands. Mac thinking man why did I draft these awful QBs? WHAT WAS HE THINKING!? My post is straight up filet mignon, no baloney involved.
Says the baloney. Again, let me repeat: If they thought that lowly of Petty and Hackenberg, why didn't they draft a QB last spring? Just look around. Things just do not add up. If the idea was to get a premier FA QB, McCown signing makes no sense whatsoever. And lastly, if they thought Petty or Hack could cut it at NFL, their coaching says otherwise. To think this coaching staff knows what they are doing gives me nausea.
Because they wanted to see if Hack could take that next step. They wanted to see if he was worth the 2nd rounder. Didn't happen, so now the Jets address the QB position. I don't know for sure if they know exactly what they are doing, but I am willing to give them 1 more year to figure it out.
3 years of mediocrity by this pisspoor coaching staff STILL warrants 1 more year, but a handful games - not even full season's body of work - is sufficient to brand a kid as worthless, eh? Spectacular use of double stand. Kudos to you, buddy.
