We have a good running game in Leon Washington and Cedric Houston. I agree completely that Barlow is trash, and should be cut as seasons end.

Last time Barlow was on the field he was winning the Jets a game in New England.

I would not call that trash.

    Pennington

For all those who think Pennington is the worst QB in the NFL I give you Bruce Gradkowski...

Last time Barlow was on the field he averaged 0.5ypc on 4 carries, then bench for ineffectiveness, which is exactly what he deserves.

1 good game, 9 bad games for barlow. He is only effective in the mud. Plus, Houston is a faster, and more powerful version of barlow. Barlow is not needed on this team, at all.

wow this thread is just retarded. Losman over Pennington. I live in Buffalo and they hate Loserman. Losman is only good against bad teams and will neva win a meaningful game in his life. Look at the way he looks. He mumbles when he talks. I am sure hes a great leader.

Barlow is a real asset in the backfield. A big thumbs down to the doubters.

The only thing that separates the jets from good teams is consistency, they do good things here and there they don?t seem to keep it up, and they will have two great drives and then never be able to get back on the right path. It seems when our offense is moving the defense is sputtering and when the defense is tearing up the field then the offense is out of order. Go figure!

And do you forget his 6 other consecutive losses to New England? What about last week against Chicago? Pittsburgh in the 2004 playoffs? etc. etc. For every respectable game against a good team he has, there are 5 bad ones.

I know you are a kid and all, and your posts are usually ok -- but have you watched the games? Losman is horrible.

Just going through quickly the starting QB's that i would NOT trade straight up for Chad--certainly based on what they can do right now.

    Harrington
    Losman
    Frye
    Plummer
    Campbell
    Johnson
    Kitna
    Gradowski (sp?)
    Bulger
    Brooks/Walter

And Id have to think about:

    Alex Smith
    Jax's Two
    Eli
    Grossman
Romo (as Bill P. would say, dont put him Canton just yet)
    Favre

    I may have missed a few -- but that 16 QB's.

Any other team in the league would have benched Chad a long time ago with his stats. If the Jets win and he throws for 160 yards and one of the receivers runs one of his lame duck passes in for a 30 yard score why do people act like he had a great game.

Marc Bulger isn't all that much better than Pennington, IMO. Both have had trouble staying on the field, and both have been pretty inconsistent throughout their careers. Only difference is that Bulger has played in a pass-friendly offense, in a pass-friendly stadium, and had a solid cast of WRs and RBs to support him.

Rex Grossman and Eli Manning are so horribly overrated. Both have cannon arms, but lack a decent head above their shoulders to do anything with it. If Chad's "bad days" piss you off, then Rex and Eli's off days will make your head explode.

Romo has 5 starts under his belt. Let's see what he's got before claiming he's the next Aikman. For all we know, he can pull a Chad after his first season.

When you start your post with wrong information its really hard to take you seriously. Pennington has only started 6 games versus the Pats and he is 2-4 in those games (1 loss with a torn rotator cuff). Against the 3 time SB champs... That's not bad. The Pats have been a much better team for the last 5 years.

Not my fault he is off the field so much that it's impossible to keep track of when he's played.

I'd take Eli, Grossman, Romo off that list over Pennington.

    I'd consider Losman.

    I probably wouldn't take Harrington.

I won't take Favre because of his age.

    Plummer, no.

Campbell, Smith are too inexperienced, but it'd be hard to pass up Smith.

Johnson and Kitna are too old and just as inconsistent as Pennington.

I'd take Bulger over Pennington. When healthy, he's better than Pennington. When not healthy, he still doesn't miss as much as time as Pennington.

No way I took Brooks, Walter, or Gradowski.

I probably don't take Garrard or Leftwich either. I just don't trust Garrard and I don't think Leftwich is good.

It's not like I said, no way, I won't take Losman. I probably would take him.
