No. But I'm not gonna worry about it yet. We don't know what games and QBs the Jets' scouts have scouted. Also, since Rosen seems to be the consensus top QB in the draft (if he does indeed enter the draft), it makes sense that the Jets would want to scout him the most closely. I'm sure that Mac is looking to take a QB in the 2018 draft. If he's thinking of trading up for Rosen, he wants to make darned sure that Rosen is worth it. I think the offseason will tell us a lot more in terms of which QBs the Jets are interested in and which ones they aren't.
I totally agree. Neither Petty's nor Hack's cap hit will be that much and the Jets have a ton of cap space. If they have concluded that neither is their potential FQB or even capable of being a quality backup, then both should be gone.
They're butt buddies. They always have each others' backs. They like each others' posts when no one else does and jump in and agree or defend the other.
It’s not a feeling from random tweets. They are lists of teams repped at games. I jumped in so that maybe the conversation wouldn’t progress to you arguing the smallest inconsequential details of what has been discussed. Sadly I couldn’t stop it though. The tediousness is your troll like bullshit is an unstoppable force, unfortunately for every one else
Great points. Playing McCown does nothing for this team. Come this offseason it will be exactly the same priorities we had last offseason but with more question marks.
With the exception of Safety, you're right, so how can Macc & Bowles be credited with significant progress? If we had competent ownership, the clock would be ticking loudly for these two, and strike "midnight" if they don't nail it by the end of the next draft.
Agree fully with you and Boozer. I made this point before and was sandblasted by the anti Petty literati for being soo narrow minded. If you recall, the narrative was that at least 2 teams were interested in trading for Petty. And Mac said no to the offers. So if the leadership believed he has no value then why not? A 7 rounder is better than nothing? Somehow the folklore that the CS woke up at the end of training camp and recognized Petty sucks is absolute BS in my view. They might think he needed more work or more likely Todd will not take any chances that might cost him his job, but the notion that he really sucks smells like personal bias more than anything. If it's true then the cap hit is inconsequential and one or both will go. You just don't keep deadwood at the QB position when you don't have Jack shit to put in it's place.
I don't know how many times I've asked this question too. If Petty and Hack suck this badly, why are they still on the roster. Neither one of these kids are making major cash and since Bowles has no intentions of playing them EVER, there's really no reason for them to still be on the team. I still don't understand why Macc didn't trade Petty when he had the chance? How can ANY offer not be enough for a guy when your HC acts like Petty is the worst QB in the history of football.... None of this makes any sense.
That's ridiculous, and you know it, or at least should. I never made any such claim, simply asked where you got your information from. Now it seems it was somewhere in your lower anatomy.
I asked a legitimate question, to which there have been many responses, but no answers. What have you added to the conversation?
I have you the answer. That you fail to accept it so you can continue this tedious little bitch game of yours is your own doing. Respond how you want, it’s not as much fun as the original
You didn't make the initial comment and you added nothing to answer a legitimate question about it. Instead you've proven that you can't have an adult conversation and would rather resort to your juvenile name calling. Have it your way, sonny, keep writing a dozen responses without an answer to a question that was not even asked of you; your life must be very empty.
Moreover, if they both suck that badly, how was this not known before the draft? Apparently it wasn't known because Macc didn't bother drafting any QBs. That's a real problem.
So you got nothin'? You just made up that stuff about the Jets being among the most aggressive? Gotcha. If you said that in the beginning you would have saved your boy some pain.
He obviously didn't scout them very thoroughly.. I hope not anyway.. I think Macc gets only one more shot at this before he goes back to being a scout again.
Hope we really go balls out for the 2018 season. But next year or not there is one thing that needs no further proof. We were clearly the least aggressive for this season, to put it mildly ....as we didnt do a damned thing but apparently bank on a Jag back up.
