Must lose game, 4-5 would be disastrous while 3-6 gives us a sliver of hope. Also another win for the bills hurts their draft stock so please lose
Oh I can't believe they are still going down that route for entertainment, it is disgusting, well ours was disgusting
There are a shit ton of seats available for this game on the secondary market. It's going to be really embarrassing for ownership on national TV.
Empty seats + rival fans taking over stadiums + bad record = cleaning house. Attendance has been abysmal all season because fans have lost feeling for this team. The young core is nice and all but no QB to bring us over the hump, Bowles being middling, it sucks the life out of people.
This is the best thing that can happen as it should result in change. Signing Josh McCown as a starting QB doesn't do it for anyone.
The prices far outstrip the product on the field. You can sell people on a rebuild but you actually have to follow thru and rebuild. It should be obvious by now that the majority of Jet Nation really isn't buying into McCown as the future and that's all people are interested in. The million dollar question is and has been now for 50 years: " Who's playing QB?". Why pay premium prices for a 38yo QB who for his entire career has been at best serviceable. With Rex out of the picture, there's no drama attached to this game either so interest really is at rock bottom. No wonder the secondary market is booming but here's the reality of it... People have to go to work on Friday so getting to the game, then getting home, then waking up the next morning to go to work simply isn't attractive enough to want to go see a 3-5 team playing a old guy at QB. The league would be better served by cancelling Thursday Night Football altogether.
Bills fans will suck up some tickets,, they come out of the woodwork up here in the Albany area when they are winning. Cman60 sums it up best with the QB and fans interest in watching him, but another very apparent problem is Bowles never portraying a coaching ability to adjust during a game or for that matter showing a interest in what is going on during a game. When he is asked a question in the post game press conference it is the same crap, we have to do better, too many mistakes, we had a good week in practice, but we had too many penalties. Give the fans some hope and at least say you will be looking at QB play when it looks like they should be given a chance to see if they can play.
Also, why go to the stadium pay a boatload on concessions when you gen use the money buy a 65+ inch tv and stay in the comfort of your own home and enjoy football? Nothing beats live game day experience in the stadium but nowadays unless the product is really good, fans don't feel the need to drop that much cash on a shitty product. The jets are a substandard product that are getting by with a 38 year old QB and a coach that is essentially emotionless in front of fans. No drama like Rex, nothing young and exciting to get the fan base excited. Just the same old, losing, old QB, non exciting coach.
= Bingo. This goes well beyond the perennial mediocrity that is the New York Jets. Attendance is abysmal around the league . . . and for good reason. Tickets are overpriced. Food and parking is overpriced. The game is a shell of what it once was.
I think turnout will be fine for a Thursday. But I totally agree. With what they charge to see teams nowadays going to your favorite bar and hangin w other fans or at home with a 65in Vizio and surround sounds like a much better option. Should be a good game either way. It’s always a tough game when these 2 meet
World series is tonight, game is tomorrow. Doubt jet fans will be still partying after game 7. Anyway, if we were 5-3 like we coulda been then there would be excitement. I said after the Pats game that's it for winning till after the bye. I am officially in the tank crowd. lets get a top 5 pick and play the young QB's. Glad i gave up my seasons after 36 years and just use Stubhub for selected games. Saved so much money for the Falcs and Bills game and not eat the tickets. F Woody and Chris!!!
One of the reasons is its on a THURSDAY! You can have too much football. But sign Kirk Cousins, and it will be filled next year.
Well, the FO/CS will have to give the fans SOMETHING besides a 39yo Josh McCown to show up on a Thursday nite. Nobody is jumping on the McCown Express except perhaps the most optimistic of Jet Nation. The rest of us are clearly in the wait and see mode for the NEXT Jet QB. Until that happens, the best the FO/CS can expect is indifference. Especially on a weekday evening.
What's sad is if McCown has 2 passing touchdowns tomorrow it will be the first Jet QB since Namath to have 2+ TD's in 5 straight games.
