You, like many others, are lying to yourself when you try to ignore the fact the Donald did add gas to the fire here. He has put himself in a positions where even his presence causes divide and racial tension, and that is no ones fault but his own. I mean it's comical to me that NFL players can say a million times over it has nothing to do with flag/military and the protests are directly towards racial divide and Trump's statements, but people (I assume like you) will not listen because it works for their argument... And it's embarrassing as a person that everyone has fallen for it. Let's not try to spin this on the last administration, other that it being common rhetoric it's just a real pathetic effort to try and pass blame to someone who is not in office. All you heard from the right during Obama's presidency was how he was not solving issues... Now it's OK to pass the buck to the previous president to deflect blame.... Please. Man up and make some change, outside of getting 20+ million off health insurance and tax cuts to benefit him by 125 million, instead of blaming problems on everyone else.
He crouched down behind a slot machine while others were mostly filing out in one line, or were down on the ground. He then took off running. They pushed by many other black men to get to him, so this, I would conclude from them pushing past the other black males, had nothing to do with race, just him looking more suspicious than other individuals. The officer also has his knee/shin across Bennett's thighs/butt/waist area, not his back, so I don't see his claim of having a knee in his back where he could hardly breathe, being accurate. I may have missed it but I also never heard anyone telling him they would blow his head off, if you have a link to that video I would like to see it. There was certainly reason to think he could have been the shooter and if the officers had not restrained him and he was the shooter, and went on to shoot others, then you would be wondering why they just let him move along.
Trump definetly fanned the fire like an idiot. But this whole thing can 100% be pinned on the Obama admin. There is a long history of police and mistreatment of minorities. That goes without saying. But this whole Arab spring type uprising is separate imo and is manufactured. Why did they choose a hand ful of events to blast on the media, tell half the story , show half the videos, only to find out 8/10 times the narrative was false . And why we're there members of the Obama admin at mike browns funeral, months before the justice system did its job. As potus, that's as much a slap in the face to the proceedings of this country as it is trump spouting off. Why were "mothers of the movement " paraded around the stage at the convention. If people can't see that this was all a political move that's gone comepletely out of control.... I was an Obama supporter until his last 2-3 years . As I see it what he did was the equivalent of farting in the room and then walking out.
Yes, he added has to the fire, but the fire was lit by the narrative driving racial division that began well before Trump ever announced his Presidency that if you questioned accusations or defended the police you were either a blatant racist or were a white privileged beneficiary living in a lap of luxury supporting institutional racism simply because it doesn't impact you. Trump simply decided to appeal to everybody who would fall into that bucket.
Ferguson, travon, Castille etc all happened before trump even announced he was running for potus. It was a perfect democratic set up . They manufactured an army of what they thought would be voters , didn't pan out ; and also an army of opposition to anyone who would run against them. Now everything is racist, even your choice of dr Seuss books, or pancake syrup. Anyone who would like to see this country fall , has got to be popping corks, because this irrational leftist agenda is working out better than it did in the 60s.
How do you figure? Republicans control the white house, both chambers of congress, the supreme court and a majority of state governorships. This is the leftist's dream scenario? I don't get it. Nothing is working out for leftists at all.
What the fuck does that even mean? You spend a lot of time in the street gauging the prevailing ideology?
Who's behind blm, Antifa or any other disrupting group in the streets that are working hard at not only opposition to Trump, but also shaping the minds of the next generation? Do you think that's all grass roots? What about what's going on in universities that have many teachers preaching extreme left views? This is not all an illusion. It's a manufactured post election temper tantrum.
According to whom? I don't know how long its been since you've been in college, but I got news for you, university professors with extreme left wing views isn't exactly a new phenomenon. It translates into "street ideology" exactly never. I agree with you that the post election temper tantrum is tired and needs to stop. If its manufactured its much more likely manufactured by the Russians as it is by liberal college professors.
Oh, I know it's nothing new. It's just all the rave again, as anti-American is the new beer in cans. i didn't say it was the colleges manufacturing , but their ideology is a help to it. I'm sure you see it as some conspiracy, but I certainly do believe in the small elite groups that consist of people like soros that maneuver people. As far as Russians, I think commies have always been a fuel and influence on that type of infiltration. But i think there's plenty here that invest too.
I believe you if you say you don't read Breitbart, but your post read almost word for word like a Breitbart headline. Also you're seriously overestimating the impact of street groups or universities on anything. By now those stories are just red meat the right wing media plays up to feed to their readers. For example, on Breitbart right now: Irish University Honors Al Sharpton With James Joyce Award for Civil Rights And then from the top of the comments (they're all like this): "What does this mean? It means communism (Cultural-Marxism) reigns supreme here and in nations like Ireland, and all genuine patriots (those who stand for something beyond abstract ideas) must make their voices heard and work to destroy the current social order." Pure red meat, beaten into the base's heads over and over again.
I think the simplest explanation is the best one. And that is, despite having a clear numerical majority in terms of popular vote, Democrats are getting dusted everywhere. Like I said above, nationally and at the state level. They put a rock star in the oval office and he can't get his supreme court nominee even considered, let alone seated and affecting real Americans for the next generation. When people perceive that democracy doesn't work, they start thinking about revolt. "Small elite groups" have nothing to gain by chaos. They aren't driving this bus.
A small majority of apathetic people vs a large minority favored by the electoral system that acts like a cult. The outcome isn't surprising.
Nobody is saying that the racial divide issues started when Trump came into office, and if someone was they are an idiot. Racial divide has been in this country since it's creation, so naming events like you did that happened before Trump ran for office is sort of useless. You can think it's insane that a stupid far-left librarian is trying to make a book donation a political issue, but I will take her over far-right nazi's any day of the week. It's your choice which one disgusts you more. The question is Obama always brought up? There was racial divide before his presidency, so can't we just go down the line of presidents saying "hey, this happened during their presidency and it caused racial divide." To me, it is a way of trying to say "hey, Trump or no Trump, we would be in this same exact position because of the racial divide that was caused by the Obama administration." Not many people would agree with that.
Except nobody is saying Obama caused the racial divide in that it originated with him. But Obama pandered to and emboldened the racial injustice advocates who framed every police shooting of black males as unjust with his actions and rhetoric, which inflamed the situation.
No, racial divide in this country is constantly smoldering fire, it's there in embers for who ever wants to walk by and pour and excellerant on it. That is what Obama did. And he used a lot of bullshit while doing it.
