this didn't start this season and you know it...its you who has your head up your ass. I opposed this malcontent crap long before Trump said anything and would be disgusted by it regardless of what he said.
The dunce just waived the Jones Act for relief shipments to Puerto Rico despite the bullshit bellyaching from the big US shipping interests. Me gusto.
It sounds funny but it's true. There were/are reports, including those by James Comey and other FBI officials, that Russians hacked the RNC at practically the same time but just chose not to release any damaging information info on the Republicans. So basically it was something like Putin held dirt on both parties but had a 10-20 point influence in either direction, depending who he decided to release info on. He could have absolutely destroyed Donald Trump and his big fucking mouth. If the election odds were 60/40 or at worst 70/30 favoring Hillary, Putin at worse could turn it into a 50/50 coinflip, which he did. Comey also said they'd be back in future, elections. I believe him. It's cheap and easy so why not?
Here's the thing about the protests. I don't give a flying fuck if they protest. They can sit, kneel, rub one out, whatever they please. The thing that sucks a fat dick is we wait all off season for football and now all we hear about is who sits or kneels or whatever. I can't look at my facebook feed without seeing 467 posts about who is sitting or kneeling and why that is/isn't the best/worst thing ever. Fuck off - who is going to win the game and why? This is the worst thing Trump has done as president. He should make it up to us by going out and expressing his extreme hatred of women going topless and sucking random dicks off.
Reminds me of a time long ago when American college kids burned American Flags in protest over Vietnam. There was almost this same kind of uproar back then too.
The man was caught on a hot mic talking about grabbing women by the pussy and you really think that anything Putin would have released would have really destroyed him?
Shows just was a shitty pair of candidates we had to choose from in '16. Pussy grabbing, misogynistic semi-racist doddering old fool vs Corporate Lackey establishment preferred female. Lets face it folks.. We're going downhill on a rocket sled. Like they say, its not the falling that hurts, its the sudden stop at the bottom to worry about.
Nobody doubts police brutality exists, but when police brutality is cried at every encounter you can't blame people for tuning out the claims. Has Michael Bennett's false claims helped or hurt the issue?
The body cam video did not do his story any favors. He ran out of the casino like he was guilty, they chased him, cuffed him, explained to him why they were cuffing him, asked for his Id, he says "Michael Bennett Seattle Seahawks look it up." They do, recognize him as not a threat, uncuff him they all shake hands and that's it. It may have been a little rough at first but what you would expect from cops grabbing someone from an active shooter scene. Not sure how it could have been profiling when he was one of many black men at the casino. They went after him because he ran and was the only one running. He really hurt the cause he was trying to further along.
Someone fires a gun and it's shocking that people go running? How do you make the leap to justify saying someone running from a gunshot is running like they are guilty. That's a pretty normal response. NOTHING in that video justified holding someone at gunpoint with no reason to believe he was the shooter vs any other person running away.
Maybe I'm wrong here, because I've only seen a video once. But didnt everyone do as the police asked and he was the only one who went running ?
Yup,that's exactly what happened. You hear the cops say one guy ran, they ask if he had a gun, couldn't make out the reply and than they run after him.
Bullshit. They explain their reasoning very clearly to Bennett --- before they even identify him. They have an active shooter situation and he's running. Tbeir was nothing unjustified in how they interpreted his actions in the moment. Just because you know, after the fact, that he wasn't a threat doesn't change the situation as it happened. Police tend to be assholes and dishonest. But when you condemn every police action as a lie, dishonest or extreme you create the environment in which people tune out claims of brutality and lies, which means even credible and true claims are then dismissed by people.
This is the problem in so many cases. It's what's perceived as profiling , vs what some one actually does. But hey, what ever fuels the narrative .
Because I watched the video. Let's ignore the interpretive aspects and just go to a blatant lie he told about the incident that was unnecessary. He said they didn't become cordial to him until after he was identified as a football player. That's an outright lie. After they put him in the car, and before he was identified, the police were rather cordial in their explanation to him why he was detained. The very fact that he lied about that reflects his judgement, and this his interpretation of the events, lacks credibility, in addition to his motive. If he outright lied about a trivial aspect, to simply condemn the police, he was obviously being deliberately dishonest in his exaggeration of their force and claim they had no reason to apprehend him. I'm willing to bet he wasn't the only black man or minority in the casino, and yet if it was race driven why was he singled out? He claims race when his actions are clearly the difference between how they responded to him versus how they responded to the other black men there. This is why people oppose the protests, because NFL players have a tendency to argue that any police encounter is police brutality and unjust so people don't believe their motive is truly directed at police brutality but simply police condemnation and a victimized narrative, and they are using the flag and anthem as a symbol of their claims. Let's not forget when the Rams players protested the Michael Brown incident despite the evidence showing it was a justified shooting. NFL players don't have a history of honesty and credibility in their claims of police brutality.
Dishonest police behavior is a big problem in this country. I've personally have never had a positive encounter with police when stopped. But false accusations make having an honest discourse on the matter impossible because all the claims of brutality then become suspect. We learn the story of the boy who cried wolf as children; nobody blames the other villagers when they simply stop believing the boy, even when he's finally telling the truth. The problem will not truly be able to be addressed until we stop claiming every police shooting or arrest is unjustified simply because it happened to a black male.
