We've got a long season ahead of us and I'm still not leaning either way between Darnold and Rosen although I have both of them a bit above the field at this point.

Darnold has Elway-esque qualities to him and Rosen is more like a Manning at this point although I don't know if that's more Peyton or Eli. It's a good thing either way.

Gotta find a way to fix the line as well. Can't draft these guys having them play behind this line.

Jets have 2 second round picks in the 2018 draft. If I were GM, I would either heavily focus on signing some O-linemen in FA, or use 1 or even 2 second round picks on o-linemen. You're right, you can't draft a young QB with that much promise and not have strong O-line play.

Definitely get a FA offensive lineman, and draft the best available lineman in the 2nd round. No more project players in that round. Find yourself a center or tackle that can contribute. Honestly, perhaps the Jets could even entertain getting BACK into the first to perhaps find a LT that could drop in the draft.

Allocate resources to the QB, cannot stress this enough.

So this may come across as really small, however, I watched and interview with this guy and came away with the impression that he's too "west coast" for the Jets.

At the end of the day, if he's the best QB in the draft then we have to take him; however if the time comes and he's considered Rosen's equal on the field, I'd imagine something like this could work against him.

We see what Bowles outwards persona does for his lack of respect. If Darnold shows up and flops, I get the impression it'd be the same deal with this guy.

A very minor point, but imo something to consider.

It hasn't hurt him yet, but his throwing motion is garbage.

It will be tough watching this kid play.

Have you watched him this year? It's much better; he's not bringing the ball down as much and it's made his motion significantly quicker.

One thing about Darnold as well is yeah, he raised the USC program from the depths of hell. Who did he replace? Max Browne. He's over in Pitt now. That guy is not good at all if you watched Pitt's game last week. I have to question, does he really make his teammates around him better? Or is it just better QB play, but not true great NFL potential?

Darnold's got tremendous talent. His throwing style and mechanics are unorthodox. I honestly can't tell if he's more Elway, Favre or Tebow.

He has a penchant for being sloppy with his footwork ala Favre... but he really doesn't have a good enough arm to make it work consistently like a Favre or Cam.

Darnold held the safety just enough to deliver a strike on the front side post route. Very good use of his eyes there.
