    Dodger Town is no more......

    This will be announced soon but the Dodgers will move spring training out of Vero Beach, Florida to Glendale, AZ where they will share a complex with the White Sox who will move their Spring training out of Tucson.

    Hopefully this means the Sox will now overpay Lugo at $9-10M per.

    Free-agent outfielder Frank Catalanotto has agreed to a three-year, $13 million deal to return to the Texas Rangers.

    There is a team option for a fourth year.

    Catalanotto hit .300 and scored 56 runs in 128 games for the Blue Jays this season, with seven home runs and 56 RBI.

    =========================

    ESPN reports Nomar Garciaparra is staying with the Los Angeles Dodgers, agreeing to a two-year contract. The deal should be officially announced Monday.

    Garciaparra, 33, hit .303 with 20 homeruns, 93 RBI last season with the Dodgers.

    Lastings To Colorado For Jennings?
    by Anthony De Rosa on Mon 20 Nov 2006 12:18 AM EST
    Gotham Baseball reports that the Rockies may have interest in Lastings Milledge.

    According to industry sources in Colorado, the Rockies' search for a center fielder may end with Mets' prospect Lastings Milledge. Given the Mets' repeated interest in Rockies' pitcher Jason Jennings, Colorado figures an even-up swap of the two players would be an even deal. They would be figuring wrong. “Minaya's not getting rid of Milledge,” laughed on Mets' insider. “Well, at least not for that package. He likes Jennings, but there are plenty of other options out there as good as Jennings that (can be signed) and not have to give up any players.”

    One MLB official said that the "Mets are prepared to keep Milledge, even though it might be crowded in the Mets' OF for 2007. "He's that good, or at least they think he is." Speculation time. My gut tells me that Milledge – not drafted by Minaya or anyone that's still around – lost his biggest ally in Willie Randolph when the the rookie outfielder reportedly repeatedly ignored or rebuffed the manager's attempts to educate him on the way the game is played at the major league level. I think he'll be dealt in a large package for a starter.

    The Red Sox are close to signing Alberto Castillo as a backup catcher.

    =======================

    The Blue Jays are making a bid to retain Ted Lilly. After the Thomas singing, they still have about $15M to use.

    =======================

    The Yankees are looking at Scott Procter as a starter. They see Humerto Sanchez as his replacement in the pen.

    =======================

    Peter Gammons on ESPN reports that the reds have signed left-handed reliever Mike Stanton to a two-year contract.

    Jayson Stark reports that the contract also contains a vesting option for a third season.

    =====================

    The Orioles and Braves are talking about a Tim Hudson for Hayden Penn or Adam Lowen trade.

    =====================

    The Angels have made offers to J.D. Drew (believed to be 5-6 years @ $14M per) and Barry Zito (no confirmed numbers but the LA Times throws out 7/$100). If the Angels sign Zito, they may have pitching to trade for Vernon Wells, Andruw Jones, Manny or Tejada.
