I assume all those skyscrapers in Miami are generally hurricane proof? I guess we'll find out if it hits

Not weather related but I am amazed at the way some people are acting over water and other supplies. Fighting over the last case and such. Seriously people, be more prepared, don't expect there to be an unlimited supply. If you didn't think to get it a week, or even just a few days back, it's your own fault.
Actually had my wife's friend bitching because she tried to order water on Amazon and they wanted $25 for a case of bottled water. Yes, that would be an outrageous price to pay but it probably weighs close to 30 pounds, probably cost close to $25 just for shipping.

Waiting to see if the Euro keeps it close to shore, move out east a little or does it come back west a little like the last GFS. Wife is a crossing guard and she said the line of cars to pick up kids is twice as long as usual, guess many are getting ready to hit the road.

"We're sorry, but there will be a delay in your shipment due to weather disruptions. But don't worry, your order will be delivered within 3 weeks!"

I'm sorry but if you're ordering hurricane supplies on Amazon.com as the storm is approaching you're a moron!! lol

    Very true guys. Very true.

And the whole Miami thing...I mean if you take the models verbatium right now...if you are in Miami, it would be miles to your east. 20 at most. That's just a little hairy for me. If I were there I would probably wait another 24 hours but I'm not the mayor who is responsible for 6 million people.

I agree completely, I will admit that I did order batteries on Amazon the other day but really have enough, just wanted back up. We'll see if they get here tomorrow as planned.

EURO running and I think this is the biggest model run since we started tracking. No final solution but if its lining up with the EURO which I think it will come at least close....time to sound alarm bells. Lets see.

still running but a direct hit at the southern most tip of Florida (not including Keys) which doesn't give us the consensus but does tell you get out of Miami. Its getting pretty close or there.

Looks like it hit around SC/GA border and goes North Northwest into S.C then very western side of NC.

NOW....IMPORTANT. No matter what you hear, the 2 models...GFS and EURO are not in agreement...they agree pretty much to day 3 but day 4..which is Sunday...the crucial day, they do not agree. EURO is west. GFS is east. Only by about 50 to 100 miles. That, in the area we are talking about, is a HUGE difference. 99% of the time that would be a pretty good consensus. Its not helping in this case.

Man FJF...depending on what track. The GFS would be a tough one but you get through it...the EURO is the one you do not want. Still think somewhere in-between...but that is such a crapshoot.

Here is what we have seen so far. The models have done a fantastic job with this 3 days out..and then are differing 4 days out. This includes from the beginning. Tomorrow they will probably get a bit closer.

The biggest problem everyone will have right up to the very end...and I mean the time just before landfall is this. Because of the location and the shape of Southern Florida, if you look back at other landfalls, there many times has been a jump..where landfall occurs 10 or so miles north or south where its forecasted. Big deal for those towns in its paths. The biggest problem with this is that landfall..where it occurs...will determine the rest of the path for millions. Impossible to say.

Looks like my map is showing a final right turn up the East Coast of Florida. East Coast or West Coast, the peninsula part of Florida is about to get boned.
