Ok, so Hack is far from the answer this year. My bad. I was hoping better. Petty might take the reigns further down the line but truth neither McCown nor Petty will survive or win shit with this disgraceful OL. Something needs to be done now. This might rank as the worst line in Jets history. Enough of this shit.
Petty looks great ... well against second team'rs so who cares ... Hack is trash ... the end. In other news ... Pick sixes against us is the norm when our last one was what 2010 ?? My gosh can anyone catch a punt that's like our sixth muff this preseason ...
Never thought I would say this but thank god for Josh M or are we tanking ... not that it matters cause we will blow the pick anyways
Of course it's impossible to sort out the differences in Giants defenses in the two halves, but there is absolutely no argument I can see to not start Petty at this point. It will become obvious very quickly if this is only because of the fact that he's playing against scrubs, but the fact is that Hackenberg has provided absolutely no evidence that he is an NFL quarterback, and starting McCown was always completely pointless.
Boys, boys, are we going to roll with Petty from day one. Don't see why we shouldn't? Hack is done for the year.
The biggest difference between Off the top of my head, Revis had one in 2011 against Miami and Antonio Allen had one against Brady in the home win in 2013.
Petty is making a serious statement, even though it is backups. He already has regular season experience and looks much more comfortable behind center.
