Look back on my previous posts, i know talent. When i predict players are not going to be good(Milliner, The corner from Boise State) i am usually right. Adams looked SOFT last night. Maye looked like Ronnie Lot. Adams constantly attempted ankle tackles and missed. If Jets got this pick wrong were in trouble. Adams just may not be hungry...he comes from money. ..talking about dying on the field...how? Somebody running into him while he is standing on the sideline??? Im going to look at his highlights again.
The entire league thought this guy was top 3 talent. He seemed to have gone 6th because QBs and pass rushers are usually given the priority over any other position oh and the Jaguars picked a running back. I think any GM would have taken Adams if they were in that spot at 6.
With fan pressure like this, is it any wonder some of them shrivel up and die, 2 preseason games and you are starting to write him off
You know talent better than the personnel departments of 32 teams, yet here you are bragging about your knowledge as a nobody on a NY Jets fan forum. Get a scouting job in the NFL if you're such a talent spotting genius.
That's it's, complete bust, time to cut him. Its absolutely hillarous how people determine a player's value or potential based of a preseason game. last week Hackenberg was our savior this week he's a total waste, and now Petty is our only future lol
He didn't have the best game yesterday but it wasn't due to being soft, it was poor decisions and poor technique. For whatever reason he ditched the tried and true method of wrapping up when you tackle. I have no idea why. The kid knows better. I'm trying to temper my enthusiasm over Marcus Maye, he looks unbelievably good. Like he could be in the Pro Bowl this year.
We probably should trade him now while he still has value before we end up cutting him in 3 years anyway.Regardless of how he turns out he's a Jet draft pick which never ends well for us...Who's the last Jets draft pick that turned our franchise around?Joe Namath?maybe Revis he played a huge part in our little run to back to back AFC title games.Harris,Mangold and D brick are the only other recent ones that stand out as far as franchise players drafted in the last 10 years.
The easiest way to tackle is chop them down below the knees. His problem wasn't how low he was going, it was how he decided to just dive at ankles and not wrap up. By the end of the year Adams will prove worthy of the 6th overall pick, no doubt.
Lol...what a life. I stand by that assessment until i know for sure it wasnt system failure. As far as Tebow i believe he was good enough to succeed, even if onlyas a back up. McCown, Fitz, etc all had multitudes of chances...Tebow is not in the league bcuz of politics.
You should apply for a job with the Jets, Woody looks for people like you. It's the only explanation for the mess we're in.
