. First off Health Insurance is not Health Care. Everyone in the country has access to health care. I have health insurance - the only one offered in my state, but in reality I do not have health care because the fucking premiums and copays are so expensive. I basically have to be on deaths door to see a doctor, My son's dermatologists visits cost less than the friggin copay I am supposed to pay. The 16-23 million number is complete horseshit because over 10 million of those would be people who opt out of insurance because it would be much smarter to take your chances and pay if you need to. Since the ACA has past and premiums have skyrocketed I have paid over $75,000 in basic insurance premiums - money I really couldn't afford to flush down the toilet.
more people lost their health insurance because of the ACA than the ACA provided new insurance for. It takes a special type of dishonesty to support the ACA under the guise of people being stripped of health insurance without it when the ACA did just that to those who had insurance.
But the ACA can be fixed. If the government eliminated all insurance outside of the ACA, forcing all politicians and wealthy people to use it, and made it illegal to get medical treatments outside of the ACA, you would see the ACA fixed or repealed immediately.
Exactly. My premiums have gone up 100% over the last 4 years. The copays have gone up 20% and deductibles are a joke. If I was single I would not have insurance right now. Just not worth it for what they cover and what they charge. Affordable healthcare? For those who couldn't afford it at the expense of those that used to be able too, I guess.
That would be two presidents in a row who have no clue about healthcare. Or perhaps it's the American people who live in a fantasyland of idealism because they've lost the mettle to actually do anything. But for those who advocate for socialized medicine, this is what it looks like: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Gard_case When the state provides your healthcare, they not only determine what treatments you are entitled to, but whether you actually live or die. Because when it's not actually your health insurance but provided by the government, it's the governments decision to make. You get no say. only a fool would want that type of decision made by the government.
The other option was someone who thought the Aca is good. I mean there was a 3rd option but people refuse to look past the 2 parties
again there were 27 republican candidates for president alone. far more than 2 options. people chose this idiot
Any of those other candidates win and Hilary is president and there is no chance of the aca getting fixed.
not only is that pure speculation about the other candidates its trivial considering there is no chance of the aca getting fixed anyway with this reality TV idiot leading his party
Ok, but per Nancy Pelosi -- straight from the horse's mouth: http://www.democraticleader.gov/newsroom/52417-2/ "House Republicans have tattooed themselves with a Trumpcare bill that means higher costs, 23 million hard-working Americans losing coverage, shredding key protections, a crushing age tax and stealing from Medicare."
So you are touting the word of Nancy Pelosi and a website labeled democratic leader as evidence that the 23 million number is accurate?
Well, the clock is officially ticking on the Trump Presidency. Know how I know? There are more Center-Right people bitching in the thread than Center-Left for the first time in 150-odd pages.
Hahaha, Anthony Scaramucci fired. Hahaha, I can't take it. This Presidency is the gift that won't stop giving. I so made the right decision pulling that lever. This is turning into Richard III. All we need are some Elizabethans.
What a terrible month. He gets the job which was great for him I guess. Then there are reports that his wife wants a divorces after popping the baby out and now this.
Don't even try to pull that. Obama tried to take care of this once and for all with universal healthcare. The Republicans neutered it into the POS it is now.
People forget Obamacare was the conservative plan 20 years ago. Liberals supported universal health care and conservatives wanted subsidies and a mandate. Then Obama took office, was willing to go the conservative route and got blasted by the right wing media machine for views and clicks.
