I disagree that we have nothing. Peterman has a low ceiling, but a high floor. Kaaya flat out sucks imo. I wouldn't want him as a UDFA. IMO Petty and Hack need all the reps they can get. They don't need to be getting fewer reps because the Jets added a QB late.
So Jets got a TE you like while acquiring extra picks. Remind me what was your major beef with Mac about 1.5 hours ago?
Who is good at ILB that's left? I don't like either of the Jets kickers. I think Zane Gonzalez would be a huge add in the 6th round with one of their 3 picks. IMO he would help the team and have a bigger impact than an ILB who is a backup and STer.
Jets have to suss out if Petty or Hack have anything in the tank. Last season was straight up and down clusterfuck at the position, as was how TB handled the situation. The entire rest of the roster is a mess and there is supposed to a be a real deal kid at the top of next years draft at QB. I'm guessing that's the plan.
Not true. Mac refuses to draft character issues. I'm not saying he is right about it, but this is a very obvious line for him.
Great value pick DRAFT PROJECTION Round 3 SOURCES TELL US "I'll bet you he will turn into a hot name during the draft. He's kind of unassuming when you see him in person, but he's a really competitive guy who plays bigger and faster than he might test. Coaches are going to love him." -- West regional scout for AFC team NFL COMPARISON Allen Hurns BOTTOM LINE Hansen has good combination of size and speed for the perimeter with an ability to climb over the top of cornerbacks and win the deep ball. He has average separation quickness when asked to work the first two levels, but he has the hands and strength to handle contested catch situations. An ascending prospect in draft circles who should hear his name called on Day 2 (Rounds 2-3) of the daft with a chance to become a WR2.
No they aren't. Neither has really had an opportunity yet. Neither Peterman nor Kaaya are the answer. The Jets need to give Petty and Hack a chance. If one of them pans out, they're set. If not, the Jets should be in good position to get one of the QBs next year.
