Potential vs a proven stud...I rather have the proven stud. This isnt overpaying a washed up Revis.Id overpay a little if I was Mac.
Agreed. The Jets have almost no one in their late 20's and in their prime. Certainly not an all pro like Hightower.
Would be a pretty nice signing honestly. Not only does he fill a need but signing Hightower would be sticking it to the Patriots.
he was on another site and all he did was bash him..he hasn't changed and got push back there also. the guy played better as the season progressed and it seems MJ just can not see that.
I highly doubt this guy is coming to the jets without a promise that they have intentions to be competitive in 2017, which means they will have to promise having something more than Jay Cutler quarterbacking, maybe they promised a QB taken in the draft. He's not leaving another Super Bowl favorite to come to this mess without promises.
Woody can probably get him a suite at a Trump Hotel at a discount. That's got to be worth something, hunh?
You just made my case for me... You say and it's true that Brooks played at 235 and did well. Lee played right around 215 to 220 in 2016. His advertised weight when he was drafted was 232. That's a crock of shit. Their weight is routinely exaggerated around draft time. So Lee got annihilated inside and it figures given his approximate Safety weight. He will need to add about 20 pounds of muscle to even have a chance at being a decent outside linebacker. But I still really don't understand WTF Mac did drafting him anyway? They should just make him a Safety and be done with it. He won't need to add weight to play Safety, he could be plugged right in at Safety.
I would be really shocked if he chose us over them. But I guess if we pay him a lot more he might consider it.
Has TB or KR done anything to make Jet fans think they will use Hightower correctly? Bill always puts his guys in a position to succeed, I don't think TB will do that.
Bad move. Jets are not a piece or two away from competing and they shouldn't have released Mangold, Revis and Marshall only to re-spend it on high priced veterans especially at a position that isn't in critical need of addressing (just yet). As for Hightower it would be a "wtf?" career move to join the 2017 Jets. Instead the Jets might want to consider 20-year-old beast Raekwon McMillian as David Harris' eventual replacement at ILB with one of their 3rd round picks. Not the most athletic but did run a 4.61 40 at the combine (3rd fastest among ILBs) and like Harris brings the hits.
EXACTLY. BB is a great HC. TOILET Bowles is the worst HC the Jets have had since Rich Kotite. Big difference in how the two boobs on this team will use him.
