I hope so Or could be the push they need to get them into the Super Bowl... Realistically OBJ, Marshall and Sheppard are going to be a big fucking problem.
their biggest problem is o-line. If the draft a TE and build up that o-line, they will be scary, on paper anyway.
Exactly. A RB wouldn't hurt either. Crazy how one New York team the future looks super bright, and the other it looks gloomy.
So Marshall got another year at a slightly reduced rate and doesn't even have to sell his house. Also, if he liked Fitz he will love Eli.
well their offense sucked last year, and I don't think marshall alone will fix it. they have no good RB, a shaky at best o-line and eli was a huge liability last season. Shepard couldn't take advantage of single coverage either. The whole offense ran through ODB
Agreed but we aren't talking about a complete overhaul here with them. Plenty of RB's in the draft so if they get one of them and work on fixing the O-Line between free agency and draft.... they are back on track. Marshall being the tree that he is, is going to make DC's now think about shading the secondary OBJ's way. Marshall's presence only benefits the entire offense. Should be interesting. If they do it right they could have a Top 5 Offense and Defense.
I will agree on #s 3-6. On 1, a small cut in pay at most, he's far from over paid. 2 lots of free libbing on routs by Pat's Reciever is common on most plays. 3 Marshall is more concerned with becoming a member of a broadcasting team then playing football 4 When motivated, he will fight for the ball, strip a picked ball from defender. 5 he is a proven blocker, again when motivated 6 never in his career has he been a team player. That's why he has been run out of town and disliked by most of his teammates .
marshall will help out a lot for sure. but his attitude mixed with ODBs could be disaster, and none of it matters if eli doesn't pick up his play. he was a hue liability for them last year. even their coach called him out for it and said he was superseded they won 11 games with how bad eli played
I think a significant part of Eli's struggles were due to the offensive line. If they can sure that up, watch out. It will be fun to watch OBJ and Marshall ticked at each other.
it was poor mechanics on his part. sitting flat footed, throwing off his back foot, accuracy issues, poor decisions even when he had time, not feeling pressure and fumbling. sure the o-line didn't help but they haven't improved either and they are out of money to spend
