Thanks for sending that. It wasnt just the number of turnovers, it was the quality (or lack of.) Holding the ball like a sandwich when scrambling, throwing INT's where a Jet receiver isnt within 10 yards, throwing passes with his eyes closed.

Best thing for Geno would be to head north to Canada and see if he can get a starting gig there.

I'm not trying to hate on him, and I want everyone in a Jets uniform to become a HOF player, I really do. It's just not the case, some guys just don't work out, Geno was dropping like a stone the year that Idzik drafted him, he probably would have dropped to the 4th round if Idzik didn't select him in the second round.

He was not asked to throw more than 25 times a game on average, he had a good oline and was given plenty of time on the majority of plays, he made the wrong read 90% of the time, that's just bad quarterbacking. If he makes it somewhere else then good for him, I doubt it, but I wish him the best.

He was far from the reason for their wins. He had 5 seasons of 20+ interceptions, 5 seasons where he threw more interceptions than touchdowns, completed barely 50% of his passes and had a career rating of barely 70. Guy makes Sanchez's numbers look gaudy. He freeloaded his way into the HOF. Pretty impressive though I guess.

He might have a winner's mindset, but he sure as hell didn't establish that mindset lol

I agree, I think Geno was thrown into the starting role too early and had a decent rookie year considering. But your right he had a good OL, and decent weapons in Kerley, Decker, Holmes, Harvin etc. Also he had a good running game with Ivory, Chris Johnson and Powell. So I dont think you can say he wasnt given the opportunity to at least get better over time. He just never protected the ball.

    And yet, he WON.

It's crazy how little attention is paid to this intangible. I know it's because it's impossible to measure, nor predict, but if you look at all of sports and note those who were told they would never make it, and yet who won, you would compile volumes. And the truth is, you CAN quantify it, albeit, not easily. But you need to pay attention to somebody's winning percentage. Those who consistently win, and who consistently make their teams better are prime candidates for having this intangible, and certainly warrant close scrutiny, if not an actual chance, because the odds are they will make your team better.

Since the Jets are running a new offense this year, Geno shouldn't be considered. At least if Gailey was still the OC, he wouldn't have to learn a new offense.

Starting job last year? Come on Man!!!! I agree that he never got a fair chance. But after owing a friend $600, the rest is history. And you want him back.
    He s

    3. Slated to start but gets fucked over by a hot headed asshole. No WAY!!! He is the one who messed it up. Being a QB, one has to lead. His antics and the locker-room proved that he was incorrect.

It would have been much more intuitive to start Geno all last year than Sixpatrick. We all knew exactly what would happen. Why not give it to a hungry Geno on a contract year?

You said he is the worst kind of POS known to man. Unless POS means something besides "piece of shit", that statement is ridiculous.

What a crock of shit. Just like every other pussy Democrat, if they can't win an argument, the other guy must be a racist.

If you're actually that dense to think there's no reason for the vitriol, then you're clearly not smart enough to even debate the topic.

He was the supposed leader of this team that got into an altercation with a teammate over chump change. He is the dictionary example of a fucking scumbag. Do me a favor and wake up dingbat.

Could throw it with the best of them. MVP of SB XIII with one of the best games by any QB in SB history.

Comparing stats from his era to recent numbers does not tell the story

Do you split hairs much? Because that is exactly what your garbage response is. Geno was supposed to be a leader? Well, I'm sorry but leaders do not get into altercations with teammates. It counteracts any sort of locker room chemistry. It's the definition of a "locker room cancer". And that makes him a SCUMBAG. As far as I am concerned, he is no better than a thief. Now, if you want to defend the POS? Go right ahead, but you'll look almost as bad as Geno in the process.
