cimini recently pointed out that since enunwa was on the practice squad for 15 of 16 games during his rookie year, he will only be a RFA after 2017

i think that we should still extend him this offseason, but this does provide the team some leverage

Big enunwa fan but there is no reason to do anything with his contract right now if this is true. let him have another good year amd then start negotiations.

Just give him a 2 million roster bonus for fun this offseason.

This will give him plenty of time to increase his value. He had a good season last year if the jets can find a QB to get him the ball, he will probably want to test out FA.

I don't see any reason other than injuries to feel he will not get better. He reminds me of Boldin. Stout, strong, good hands and some speed.

When his FA is pending, give him a fair raise. He deserves it, as one of our skill players. No matter who the QB is, he is a target. He catches the ball with his hands and doesn't drop many.

Make him a decent offer now and see if he takes it.

If we wait we'll be in the same position we were in with Mo Wilk, and WR's get paid as much as 3-4 DE's/3T's these days.

I suspect the Jets could lock him up for a long term deal right now for a lot less than any deal he will be able to negotiate a year from now.

Absolutely. Antonio Brown is playing under a very affordable deal because the Steelers locked him up a year early and the Steeler locker room does not abide holdouts.

With how many good young receivers we have right now, let him wait and see if he continues to improve. If he does, THEN give him the extension. If he doesn't and the rest do improve, let him go and we still have good receivers for cheap.

I disagree. He's the best of our young WRs and the most proven. If we wait, his value could go up exponentially, as well as his asking price. If we give him security now and reward him for his good play, we could probably sign him long term at a very reasonable price. At worse, he's a solid #2 WR, and could possibly develop into a #1. Anderson will probably never be more than the #3 or #4 WR. Peake may never develop into anything. J. Marshall would probably only be a slot WR at most.

The difference between this and the mo situation is he will be a rfa so we have more options to tender him and more teams would be willing to talk to him, we can get a better guage for what he is worth. no sense pushing this years cap number any higher if we don't have to

Hopefully if Q becomes a pro bowl receiver, he doesn't start acting up like Brown does now. Steelers might trade him.

Most proven? Dude's had one good year. Didn't play his first year. Was average at best as a depth receiver his second year. And was good last year. But let's not say he's proven. He's not good enough to go against #1's and so far, he's only gone against crappy slot corners who aren't good enough to go against WR1's and WR2's. We need to see what he can do against good DB's before we shell out major cash for him.

Do you not remember him raping Stephon Gilmore from the Bills? He's a pretty good corner. Obviously the Jets have Marshall so you don't see him playing against #1 corners, but nickel and #s he's done an excellent job winning matchups.

He also had success against Malcolm Butler.

The Jets should draw up a contract that's low on guarantees and heavy on rich incentives and see if he bites. Doubtful that his agent goes for it, but it makes more sense than throwing big guarantees at him after one productive season.

If he's as good as he looks, he could make big money on a Prove It deal. But the agent will probably balk because there's no answer at QB pretty much ever with this team.

She would be so much more relevant if her previously special tits weren't pointing at the ground at this point.

Such a shame. Charlize Theron is over the hill now, too, but she's still a better Ashley Judd and has been for years.
