I think about it and I think the two scenes that George Lucas fucked with totally ruined the original films for me and prohibit me from ever buying the blu rays are: -Adding "NOOO" to when Vader picks up the Emperor and tosses him. In the original it was Vader looking back and forth and you can sense the struggle behind the mask which was what made the scene even more emotional -Taking out Sebastian Shaw in the end of ROTJ and putting in Hayden Christensen was a slap in the face. Even though the music in the blu rays here is better then the jub jub song If you can, just download the Despecialized editions from Torrent or online somewhere if you search it.
I saw the movie this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. After being extremely disappointed by the force awakens I thought this movie would go down the same path. Although the movie started a little slow for me the final act was like watching Stars Wars: Batlefront the movie which was fantastic. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have a strong emotional attachment to the main characters, but that is only a minor gripe. Overall I give it a 7/10 not my favorite Star Wars but still one I would watch again. My order from best to worst is: Episode 4 = 5 6 3 = rogue one 2 1 = 7 *****SPOILERS****** My favorite part of the movie was seeing and hearing Red Leader leading Red Squadron. It made me grin from ear to ear because my favorite moment in all the Star Wars movie is the call when they are preparing to attack the Death Star and the ensuing battle. It's just too bad that Wedge Antilles wasn't in this movie or he force awakens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
1) Empire Strikes Back 2) Return of the Jedi 3) New Hope 4) Rogue One Mostly unwatchable aside from a few scenes 5) Force Awakens 6) Phantom Menace 7) Attack of Clones 8) Revenge of Sith
Oh man, I was cheesing so HARD when the Rebel Fleet jumped in. Hell, I'm grinning ear to ear right now just thinking about it. I felt like a kid and wanted to go whooshing up and down the aisles.
Holy fuck, I never saw the blu rays, he really did that? That's fucking pathetic. Like he's doing a retroactive shout out to one of the worst scenes in any of the 3 prequel movies. George Lucas is such a twat.
Saw Rogue One in Christmas day What a great movie Easily the best since the original 3 IMO it may even be better than 1 or 2 of the first 3 Need to see again Given the plot I thought the characters were developed enough On a side note I am at Disney World and Hollywood Studios is basically a Star Wars park now They have a 2 daytime shows that were good A Star Wars themed fireworks laser show and a whole building called the Launch Bay with all sorts of cool memorablia, a short film and Character greets with Chewbacca and Kylo Ren Picked up a great Darth Vader tie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks awesome. Luke has to train Rey but maybe Rey has to bring Luke back as he sounds defeated. Can't wait!
Meh. Trailer does nothing for me. Nothing about the random shots are interesting or exciting absent of the context of the story which we know nothing about, unlike The Force Awakens which had an incredible trailer.
Rian Johnson is a much better director then JJ though I agree the trailer was okay. It was not mind blowingly epic. We get alot of those from Zack Snyder already, I just want a great film
I don't know, with such a bad Prequel trilogy, I think The Force Awakens and it's trailers were a breath of fresh air. I like not knowing too much about the story, so I thought they showed the right about for The Last Jedi teaser.
Speaking of the Prequels, it is pretty much accepted worldwide that Episode I is pure trash. I agree, but today during that Star Wars Panel they played this song before it began. I forgot how truly awesome it was. The best part about the entire Prequel Trilogy I would say.
Episode 1 is the best of the prequels. I attempted to watch Episode III on a flight last week to see if it was better than I remembered and I barely made it through the first 20 minutes. Truly a horrendous POS.
I hate to say it but I think the Star Wars saga is played out. The whole DIsney rehashing every little thing instead of all new material to me is just ground hogs day and I've just seen it all already. There's nothing more they can do to keep things interesting. RIP and thanks for the memories
I guess you and I are in the minority. Most people hate all 3. You at least like ep 1, and I at least like ep 3. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
