After yesterday's game I've changed my mind Bowles is back on the hot seat. What a nightmarish season.

I'm with you. I keep telling myself that firing coaches after only 2 years is what perpetually losing organizations do. However; I just can't stomach the kind of performances I've seen from this team week in and week out. And it's not improving. It's actually getting worse.

Todd Haley (Pittsburgh OC) is my guy. Former HC, had some success with the Chiefs and seems to have some idea about coaching the Offensive side if the ball.

I said it earlier in this thread - Haley is my guy and the best choice out there, for the reasons you mentioned.

I too do not like the idea of firing coaches or anybody quickly unless it is clear they are in over their head (which Bowles is) and cannot do the job.
I did not support the Idzik firing, but if you did I cannot see how you would want to keep Mac if you wanted JI gone.

Idzik - Sheldon Mac - Williams - Hard to tell who will be best, but Shel has off field issues
Enunwa/ Peake - Enunwa has been one of the few bright spots this season.
Pryor / Lee - Lee has been unimpressive and we see what secondary is like without Calvin
Geno / Petty/Hack - Geno still has a good chance to be the best of these 3 QBS
Winters / Mauldin -- Lorenzo has taken a step back this year, Winters has contributed
Simon (Mac) -- good late round pick
McDougle / Burris -- we shall see
Milliner / D Smith -- injury prone busts
L Edwards (Mac) -- What happened to the guy we saw in preseason

Macs overall drafting MAY be slightly better, but overall the drafting record is not that drastically different. Idzik never got to spend the cap money he saved, Mac basically squandered it (Revis, Fitz)
Both brought in good WRs (Decker and Marshall) - Idzik brought in Ivory and Mac brought in Forte

I am advocating that Bowles be fired and let Mac hire his head coach, which is what I wanted 2 years ago fire Rex and let Idzik hire his head coach.

What is it about this team that turns people into dogs? I mean, Todd Bowles wasn't complete shit before he came here. Other teams were looking at him to coach too, it wasn't just us. The guy had value and at first the guy was getting it done, winning good games. Then the team just fucking nose dived. What the fuck happened? Is it us? Are we just cursed to endure this forever?

I honestly don't know. All I know is that last year was a year of false hope. We had a journeyman QB have a career year and convince everyone that he could be the short term answer at QB. We had a HOF CB in the twilight of his career but still playing good football. We had a Pro Bowl WR playing some of his best football and having amazing chemistry with his QB. This year it all just unraveled and all the personnel moves that looked so brilliant last year just turned to shit.

Years of bad drafts and it's all coming to a head as some of our veteran players are showing they have nothing left in the tank - guys like Mangold, Revis, Harris, Forte. The Jets need a 100% ground up rebuild which is amazing considering how much we've heard that word over the last 4-6 years.

Well the common denominator through almost 50 years is two owners.

At this point, based off what the Jets showed last night If I Had A Choice:

I would fire Bowles today, and tell the interim HC (Gailey?) to bench every player that mailed it in last night, starting with Revis, for the rest of the season. Seriously SOMEBODY has to send a message!
