The Jets are just a bad organization and it starts at the top. Woody is clueless about football. When something doesn't work like a broken record, you change it. Why we still have Bowels as HC is beyond me. I don't want to hear "You don't fire a coach mid-season"....We're now 3-8 and I say yes you can. Bowels doesn't deserve to coach another game.
I would argue that I don't think the Browns fan base allows themselves to build up hope. Maybe they're lucky in that way.

Yawn. Threads like this remind me of an 8 year old throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. I hate this, that and this and I feel the need to tell the internet about it! It's a poorly run organization. Don't root for them anymore if it makes you that upset. It's simple.
Bowles went (10-6) in 2015. Now this year, the team has completely fallen off the rails. There are many reasons for this, including Bowles' bad coaching, but I think he should be retained. You talk about how the organization is bad, and you are right, but you need consistency. Rex was given 6 years. That was a little long, but 3 seem fair at a minimum. The problem for Bowles is I don't think this team can be turned around in one offseason. Especially with him at the helm!
You're smarter than this. How is keeping and incompetent HC going to give your team the right kind of consistency? The only consistency it will give you is consistently bad!!! You even go on to say that you don't think the team can be turned around with him at the helm and yet you want to keep him?!?!?!?!?!? That makes zero sense unless you're really not a Jets fan or just enjoy following a crappy team.
You just have to hope that Bowles can turn it around. If he doesn't, then you fire him. I know the last 3 games could have been won with better coaching. The Jets should have beaten the Dolphins, Rams and Patriots. If so, the team is (6-5) and right in the thick of things. Should have beat the Bengals too. So even though the team is clearly not as talented as we thought, it is also not (3-8) bad either. However, I just feel a coach deserves 3 years to get it right, so I would give Bowles one more season. The team is clearly trending down while teams around them are trending up (Miami, Buffalo).
IMO you don't waste a season based on "hoping" your HC proves to not be a incompetent, clueless moron, especially when you already have plenty of evidence that he is indeed an incompetent, clueless moron.
Especially when you've seen and lived the same shit for years..Its not like a surprise is in the box..
