I stated before the season started that it would be a mistake to allow Mangold to start at center. My thinking was that he would not be able to handle calling out signals to the line, reading defenses and getting the o-line as a whole on the same page, I was wrong. Mangold has been nothing short of incredible. I watched him a lot today, as it was one of those games you knew was going to come down to the guys in the trenches, he got it done. BB mixed up the fronts, tried to confuse the Jets and throw off the blocking schemes, but they were steady the entire game, and it all started with Nick M. in the middle. He was a beast. He jammed V. Wilfork, who i personally feel is on the top DTs in the league. He stood his ground, did not get confused, and utterly dominated.

What a pick this guy has turned out to be. I feel very good about our O-Line with him and Ferguson anchoring it for at least the next decade. Ferguson looked solid today too as they blitzed his side a lot and he did not falter, I think Chad only got hit once or twice the whole game.

Chad also looked more comfortable today against a BB defense then he has since '02. Maybe Mangini has helped him to understand it better, and Schotts has got Chad, "keeping things simple."

This was a big win for the Jets, and now I must order my Nick Mangold Jersey.

He played amazing. My heart stopped when I saw him get up slow... I was thinking for the worst.

Mangold has indeed impressed the whole season so far. I didn't really think he would be able to replace what has left in Kevin Mawae, but so far it doesn't seem like he is having a problem starting at Center.

I have to admit I had my doubts about Mangold too but he far surpassed my expectations. I'm glad he's anchoring our O-Line.

I didn't notice the cut on his eye that you mentioned. I did hear him say how it was just cosmetic injury and that he is fine.

Mangold is so important that the cut to his eye cost the Jets 4 points.

    I believe that.

I expected Brick to have a better rookie season than Mangold. Glad to see that Mangold is doing well though.

There are so many parts of this offense to be excited about. The offensive line, the receivers that don't stop making plays, Leon Washington.

    It's great!

It's so easy to take Mangold's perfect transition as the starting center for granted.

But we can't appreciate him enough. He's barely gone through any growing pains and just keeps improving week by week.

He's playing like he's already been here for a couple years

About what? The fact that Pennington is an extremely mediocre/average quarterback?

He hasnt been a pro bowler, but hes been much better, also mr nyjet said he would never come back and play again, he has to at least own up to that.

He's done a great job. Injury thankfully looked worse than it was.

When your wrong, your wrong. Kid is a stud, and I cannot wait until my Jersey does arrive. I just bought a Cotchery, and now need a Mangold. Now I just need my season tix so I can wear all these Jerseys I have accumulated.
