You really think Burris is better? Hahaha!!! You really think bunk ass Marcus Williams is better? Hello no williams is awful.
I wonder if the coaching staff is just stuck between hoping Revis can regain some of his former effectiveness and just admitting to themselves they have to pull the plug on him starting? The whole weekly routine is getting old and it's just going to get worse if they don't address it.
I'm thinking TB is officially east of the rock and west of the hard place on this. How does he tell Mac and Woody he's going to bench the $16 M star they gave him to lead their defense, which would in turn lead the team into the playoffs? At the same time he has to bench the $12 M QB they gave him to lead the offense? For those who don't see it, that's a signal to Jets fans everywhere they didn't have a freaking clue what they were doing. So it's probably not going to happen. And so, I figure TB's praying for a blown hammy or even a torn ACL to let him off the hook. Just IMHO
How do you know Burris is not better at this point in their careers? Stop living in the past with Revis. Have you seen the numbers he is giving up to scrub receivers? 100 yard halfs! Do you think Burris is going to be any worse? If they are going to play Burris 10 yards off the LOS then why not play him? I'm sure he is going to hit someone a little harder than Revis is going to, Revis is in self preservation mode. It's embarrassing as a jet fan to see someone steal money from their employer the way he is.
Because I've already seen Burris getting torched when he's in the game. If he wasn't good at special teams he would be bagging groceries. If you think Pryor is a scrub you know nothing about football, guy is a beast and future star in the NFL.
I know Revis is not giving 100% by watching him. All I'm asking for is someone who will. This is the NFL, I'm sure we can find someone willing to give the proper effort.
No player on the Jets should ever look like this on the field. I don't care who they are or what the circumstances are. The head coach is responsible for this.
My main problem with the move was the length of the contract. Considering Revis history, what we are seeing now was very much predictable. If this was 1 or 2 year deal, I can understand overpaying short term when you got $50M to burn. Long contract to aging CB was a bad move.
There is no shame in my game, I don't watch as much football as I used to when I was a kid. I'm not going to apologize for having and living a great life, that does not involve sitting in front of a TV for 14 hrs because I belong to 5 different fantasy football leagues. As far as Pryor is concerned, I still don't think he is this great player you make him out to be, he has had a couple of good games statistically, but he has had games where he was invisible. 18 yards versus the bengals, 30 yards versus the Ravens. What happened to him the second half of the Jets game? For now I still think he could have been contained by the Jets for less than a 100 yards in a half, if this crap CS and DC had given Revis who obviously does not have it anymore, help from the beginning. However you may right about Pryor, I don't get to watch Cleveland play, but the fact that he is so up and down means, he is either not as good as you think he is, or he is so good that he gets bracket and double covered. We will see.
