What a second half adjustment by Todd Bowles! Kudos to the coaching staff and the team as a whole for not giving up down 20-7 at halftime. Forget the records. The J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS have won two in a row for the first time this year. We went 1-3 in the first quarter, and just closed the second quarter of the season 2-2. That's an improvement. We've got momentum, and dare I say, LIFE for the first time this year. It finally feels good to be a Jet fan in 2016. And best of all? It's SQUISH THE FISH week! Beat the dolphins, go to 2-0 in the division, 4-5 overall, and a 3 game winning streak coming back to home to face a team that has to travel across the nation to play at 1pm. I like our chances to be 5-5 with 2 weeks to prepare for the Patriots*. AND THE HOME OF THE JETS!
Yeah, we'll see. I'm happy with the win, but I don't necessarily love our chances next week. I think us and the Dolphins are very evenly matched.
Give the MVP to Enunwa. He broke up a sure interception on a badly thrown ball by Fitz, and then had a beautiful touchdown while breaking 3-4 tackles.
Yeah, seriously..all I could think of at halftime was how Johnson would be able to get away with not firing bowles tonight.
The Jets were left for dead at half time. Say what you want about the Browns, but they played great in the 1st Half. The Jets played TERRIBLE. They could have quit. They didn't. I am proud of that 2nd Half effort. Best the Jets have given in a long time. Nice to win 2 in a row.
Good win, the team still looks bad. As long as we play some meaningful football in November/December I am not complaining
I never watched a full browns game this year but they are truly terrible Let's pump the brakes just a little bit here
IMO the only way the games will be meaningful at that point in the season is if Petty or Hack are playing and giving us hope for the future. Today I did something I've never done before. I rooted for the Jets to lose so I'd never have to see Fitz play again for the Jets and we could move on to Petty. Now I fear we'll be stuck seeing Fitz for a number of more games. 8-8 or 7-9 are a wasted season if Fitz is starting. I'd rather see the team play Petty or Hack regardless of what the final record will be.
Today was a holding pattern, we barely beat the BROWNS. if we look like crap again the Fins, there's no reason not to start Petty.
I'd rather read positive overreactions than negative ones, but overreactions are still overreactions.
For anyone that hasn't been here for a while, RobA is your classic dope of a homer and will post threads like this. We're going into the second half of the season and our 3 win team is on a winning streak. LOL
I am too I guess then, right? I think it is a good thread and how can anyone call it an overreaction to think the Jets can beat the Dolphins and Rams? Of course they can. Not like he said the Jets were an unstoppable force or anything. They just have a realistic chance of being (5-5) headed into the BYE.
During the last two Jets wins it's been Ground and Pound which has resulted in winning the Time of Possession. Also the Jets have been winning the turnover margin. Last but not least the Jets aren't coming out of halftime flat. The Jets have outscored their opponents 34-8 in the last two games of the 2nd half.
