Game Balls

Discussion in 'New York Jets' started by KurtTheJetsFan, Nov 12, 2006.

  1. Awesome win for the jets and us fans. It doesnt get any sweeter than this and everyone brought their A game including the defense. Here are IMO the game balls.

    1. Kevan Barlow- By far his best game as a jet and really kept our defense off the field and kept the chains moving

    2. D'Brickashaw Ferguson- Unbelieveable game...kept Chad clean all game long despite the weather conditions...Phil Simms mentioned his great play..and he was dead on.

    3. The entire Jets defense- They still have some work to do, but they played aggressive, timely and smart. D rob had a very good game as did Vilma and Ellis.

    Honorable Mention

Jerricho Cotchery- Made some nice plays, including an incredible catch to seal the game.

Nick Mangold- Made some great line calls despite some crazy looks from the NE front 7

The jets coaching staff- One of the best gameplans I have ever seen. Outstanding performance off the bye week against a very good team that was desperate for a bounce back win.

The entire OL should get a game ball.

The whole o-line deserves a game ball.Moore pushed his man around and Kendall got to the second level and took out a lb on a number of occasions

Dewayne Robertson played well today, really stood his ground all day and got some good pressure on passing plays.

Erik Coleman deserves a mention, made some nice plays.Same goes for David Barrett.

Uh.... Victor Hobson anyone?? He made his presence felt many times and that roughing the passer call was total bullshit.

Lets see how much time the geniuses need to come in here and say stuff like "D-Rob is still not a hall of famer!! Warren Sapp has been a better DT!!! I mean look at the stats, we gave up positives yards!! D-Rob sucks!!!!!". Come on you trolls. :)

Erik Coleman had a nice game, too. A couple of big plays, had a good run stuff for a loss, interception. His best game of the year, and played like he did in '04.

D-Rob does suck but he's definetely better then Rashad Moore. He's not a 3-4 NT. I still saw way too many plays were Koppen pushed him back 5 yards.

I'd give it to Cotchery - he doesn't make that catch, we'd be on here crying over a loss.

You need a lot of balls to pass around for this win. Lots of guys played well, and the gameplan for both sides of the ball got it done.

i agree with the assessment however....i would add Erik Coleman for his pick and a few nice plays in the backfield...

and did anyone else see Kerry Rhodes throw Maroney like a rag doll that one play...he just wrapped him up, and said screw it, and straight up tossed his ass into the dirt...i thought that was priceless!

How pathetic are you man? How many times did I say I hope DRob plays well at RE and good in general. But the whole year he has been bad man. DRob had a good game no doubt, and he will get credit for that.

But don't try and suck yourself off and say we're trolls...I say what I see, and today Robertson played good. Now can their be more consistency out of him? Absolutely.
