That's different. You have to see if he can learn from his mistakes and improve. Of course. Those are sometimes the growing pains you deal with when you hire a new HC. It's not acceptable but hopefully the guys learns. If he doesn't learn, he'll be gone.
yea...cycle thru head coaches every 1-2 seasons like bad organizations operate would be the best action Why didn't Gary Kubiac or Dan Quinn kick in the door last off season.
What is this every 1-2 seasons nonsense? Wasn't the last HC here 5 years? All the reports were that Quinn was interested in the job two years ago and we went with Bowles. So yea let's keep a HC that with each passing week is proving to be more and more incompetent but let's keep him out of fear of no other HC ever wanting to come here. Good plan!!
This thread is so dumb. Really Bill Cowher, him nor Gruden will be leaving. I wrote in gest about this a month ago, and here we go.
Kotite took over a 6-10 team and went 4-28. Bowles took over a 4-12 team and is 11-11. Criticize Bowles all you want, but he isn't in the same league as Kotite.
There is still time but I didn't he was in the same league as Kotite yet. Only that he is the most incompetent since Kotite. I've certainly seen enough to not want him back that's for god damn sure.
The bolded is my biggest issue with the defense, we drafted personnel for a 3-4 defense and the guy is playing the 4-3. With Sheldon playing the LB position. It's one of the craziest thing I have seen other than when Rex had a WR playing defense against buffalo and used him to blitz and Watkins burned the defense for a TD.
I don't like the Sheldon thing either. Clearly he's not meant for that position. I get they need to fill David Harris' shoes somehow, but Sheldon just doesn't have the speed and agility to outrun the running backs when they change direction. I saw that multiple times on Monday. This defense is screwed when David Harris retires.
But they have Carter, whom they signed as a FA for depth. I understand the mentality of having your best players on defense on the field, but that's only if they can help in their respective roles, Sheldon is hurting the defense in his role as a LB.
