This is not a post I am happy to be right about but I am sticking to my opinion from july, that 5-11 sounds quite optimistic. What I will say is the Jets have played better than I would have expected them to play so far this year and we could very easily be 3-3 right now which is a record I don't think anyone could have rightfully expected. We have not won a road game against a team that finished with a winning record since 2010. Our schedule is brutal and we have played competitive football and there might be a chance we could turn things around over the last 9 games as this team is not too far away from being a good team. Regardless, I do believe we are a better team than last year but that we are just playing a much harder schedule. Kudos to Jetaho on his 5-11 prediction thread.
The Jets will finish with whatever record is necessary to ensure we are not in the running for whomever is the hottest QB prospect(s) in next year's draft (as usual)
1-4, 4 losses against teams that will end up winning between 11 and 13 games. settle down people, our schedule gets much easier the remainder of the year cept for 2 pats games.
my fear is with hack on the roster we won't look at qbs anyway. I can see us picking 3rd and passing on a stud
Why? Those teams are the ones we need to beat to get into the playoffs. Beating the crappy teams means nothing, and we can't even do that consistently.
Funny thing is, I was being a smart ass! I had us pegged for 7-9, but now we have an outside shot at 3-13. Oof.
No chance..that would mean a chance at a good draft pick and the Jets never get good draft picks. No they will probably get 5 wins and the number 7 pick, they will keep the same shit running the team they have now and we will all be back here this time next year saying the same things.
