You know what, I would fire him now and send a dam message to these under-performances twits... all of them. The season is over at 1-4 because our chances of making the playoffs are less than 10% esp with this team as presently constituted. Show the world that someone in this regime has a set of balls (no offense to women posters). Put everyone on Fking notice... look for a trade for Richardson and others and load on on draft picks. finally, play the youngsters so they get experience.
If we fire Bowles, I want a sure thing like Harbaugh lined up to replace him. No change for the sake of change.
The Chiefs started last season 1-5 thanks to a tough opening schedule and made the playoffs. So cool the Jets.
look, we're all a bunch of slobs sitting on our couches drinking beer, but most of us have played organized sports on some level, and you just know after awhile when your leadership just isn't up to the challenge. These guys are pro football players. They know the talent is there to be competitive. When the people in management aren't good, the people on the factory floor know it and start to act accordingly.
That was also a historic turnaround, led by one of the most consistent regular season head coaches in the league.
Kinda like you know you dont have to care because you can get away with bullshit at work Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
I have to imagine Todd is feeling the heat. You don't just squander this talent and expect nobody to blame you. The players are pros but a lot of them are also kids more or less. I suspect a major culture issue in the Jets organization.
That's right and the body language has been really bad for at least two and maybe three weeks. It was obvious again today.
Firing Bowles isn't change for the sake of change, regardless of who we have or don't have lined up. It's change for the sake of necessity.
I'd fire him now simply because that punt with 7 min to go revealed he has no business in charge of making those decisions. Nothing about that is going to change. He's conservative, a coward and doesn't even have an idea of basic play calling.
Bowles is overly conservative and you can't be that way. He is stubborn and it's costing us games. We cannot employ a coach who is unwilling to adapt himself to circumstances or situations that are transpiring in front of him. Why do we have a 33 year old journeyman qb who has thrown a total of 1 touchdown (if memory serves me correct) in the second half of the last 3 games. Why do you call timeouts when the clock is stopped? Why do you challenge something so blatantly obvious? Why does our secondary look like dog shit when last year they were a collectively good unit? These questions need answers and we are seeing a team that was all hyped up, underachieve by a large margin. This is an embarrassment. If said this before but I am not usually for canning a coach after 2 seasons, but Bowles may very well deserve to be fired.
What's his course? When you have the ball and we'd to score, just give the balk to the other team to run the game out?
Todd Bowles should take the job at Elizabeth HS where he belongs He coaches like he is in the PSAL...hmm prob some better ones there no offense to NYC High Schools My Ad for the new HC would run : No First Timers No DCs MUST TAKE MINI MENTAL EXAM for quick IQ screen We need some passion I say Jon Gruden Shanahan Or Harbaugh
