Maccaghan approved him at a dinner they all attended the day mac got hired. That one wasn't Johnson's, he could have said no if he didn't want him. Everybody wanted Quinn but nobody had the balls to wait a week..too bad as it was obviously the right decision.

 

There is nothing special about Quinn. I wish the Jets had Matt Ryan and Julio to cover up those deficiencies.

 

We are supposed to have a defense, you're right there is nothing special about Quinn but he is winning with what on paper is a lesser team.

 

I sure someone has already pointed out that bowles was a db in the nfl, was a defensive coordinator, was hired for his defensive prowess, specially the secondary, and HIS secondary is the worst in the league. Bench Pryor and Fitzpatrick, Todd, before you are 1-15. Try someone, anyone else, what have you got to lose?

 

He's a defensive mind also and they put a lot of resources into that defense as well.

They started 4-0 last year and failed to make the playoffs.
