Rex would be gaining weight at a rapid pace and eventually be back to the same size he was before by season end.
this team, not the '09-'10 best o line in the league that can hide a bad qb. this team looks a lot what we saw rex did in 14
Well if the HC in Buffalo kept Schwartz or was Schwartz and/or didn't destroy their pretty damn good defence then chances are the would of finished above the Jets last year. We'd therefore have a different schedule and instead of talking 1-6 we'd probably be looking at 2-5.
Two groups of people that always manage to fascinate me on this message board are Sanchez Stans and Rex Stans, respectively. The reality is that Rex Ryan is 56-60 in the regular season as an NFL head coach and 60-62, overall. To put it another way, Todd Bowles (11-9 career record) currently has a better winning percentage as a head coach than the guy you proclaim is a "much better HC" than him. Notwithstanding the never-ending hype surrounding everything rex says or does, I'm not convinced there is any objective reason to drastically favor either of these coaches over the other.
last time Rex had this much talent, he was winning playoff games. He has shown he can win with talent, so i think he'd be doing pretty well with this group. he was loyal to this organization and fan base, and won a lot of big games. He ran his course here and it was time for a change. the hate he gets here is ridiculous.
Two weeks ago the consensus was that Rex was a joke of a coach who deserved to get fired before the end of the season. I realize fans are fickle, but come on, this is ridiculous.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA ROFLMAO!!! I'm starting to think that Bowles needs to go, but I'll take him any day over that no class, loud-mouthed, braggart and bully Rex. Rex is a POS as a human being and as a HC. Todd Bowles is at least halfway intelligent and a decent human being.
Todd Ryan is not doing halftime adjustments, mismanaging the timeouts, and letting the clock burn in 2:00 drill. Rex Ryan 2.0 with a busted speaker.
I think the defense would be keeping us in games.....This defense has more talent then the ones in his last two years.Bowles was never in the same league as Rex as a defensive coach.
This is complete foolishness. Todd Bowles has coached a grand total of 20 games after the GM went out and coddled the HC by spending 50 million on talent for him. The fact is and the way things are going Todd Bowles will never have the chance to even coach 122 regular season games, but yet you can point to one 10 win season and no playoffs and a 1-3 record and CLAIM it's debatable. This, and to say nothing about Rex's achievements in the playoffs, whereas Todd Bowles is so incompetent he won't even make the playoffs. Stick to your outlandish claims.....You're a legend in your own mind..........
Exactly what achievements are you referring to? Those back to back AFCCG LOSSES? If not those, then what others? He was the DLine coach (NOT THE DC) on that Raven's team so yeah, I guess you can count that as an achievement.
To recap: You claimed that Rex Ryan was a "much better" coach than Todd Bowles. The facts: Ryan is under .500 after 122 games coached. Bowles is 2 games over .500 after 20 games coached. (By the way, Rex was an identical 11-9 after his first 20 games coached in the NFL) The innuendo: Bowles was "coddled" by his GM (Whatever the fuck that means. I guess Tanny never spent any money on Rex's rosters?) and Rex's grand playoff achievements make it so lopsided that it's not even debatable. Are you sure you know what "foolishness" means?
How many years do you think it takes to learn that you don't punt on 4th and 2 when you're down 2 scores and there's only 7 minutes and change left?
