Obviously there were a lot of talent added after Rex left and I've always said that Rex had somewhat of a sour deal in that he was stripped of talent his final 2 seasons. But out of curiosity, do you think Rex would be doing any better with the talent the Jets have than Bowels is doing?
It would probably be the same thing except instead of apathetic post game pressers we'd get lame excuse post game pressers. Hey, we've gotta get better, there's no question about it. But that starts with me. I've gotta do a better job of getting our players in the right positions to succeed. I thought we had a great week of practice and for whatever reason it just didn't carry over into today. We'll get it fixed, I guarantee you that. I'm too good of a coach and we're too good of a team to be 1-3.
We would be 4 and 0 in moral victories, we would end up with no timeouts in the second and fourth quarter, we would lead the league in penalties ... on the flip side we might add a few turnovers ...
probably be 1-3, I mean its not like we saw rex win a lot with a bad qb turning it over at a record pace
This question shouldn't be asked until the Jets have a quarterback that actually scares good opposing defenses. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Our offense would be a hell of a lot worse, I know hard to imagine. With our secondary the defense would be toast. He would over blitz and receivers would be running wild on us.
I think it's Truth4U on a different account. He seems to have the same boner fetish for Rex without all the gospel shit.
Front office failure. At least Mac is trying to bring upside QBs on board and give them a chance to develop. Our previous GMs have done nothing short of spend high picks on uncertain QBs and throw them into the fire expecting miracles without proper support.
You forget Sanchez and going to two straight championship games with him..the difference then was he had a defense he could coach. Easy to find how many turn overs he had.
"Shoot...we'll come out there and...you know...they'll see. Hey. They're gonna see who the Jets really are, you know. Shoot. I'm not backing down from nobody. We'll see." Also, 4-0 with all 53 guys on our roster plus the practice squad guys heading towards Canton.
The simple fact is....Rex IS a much better HC than Todd Bowles. This defense as it stands right now, would not be totally to Rex's preferences, but he can work with talent. And talent this team has. When the Jets actually had talent on defense back in 2009 and 2010, Rex was magic. So make no mistake about it, this defense would be playing better. I doubt Rex would have much of a use for Darron Lee though. He'd either demote him or change him to Safety. We are two seasons in the Todd Bowles era and we already know he SUCKS and is an incompetent dingbat. When Rex had talent however, we were winning 9 and 11 games respectively. On top of that, there's no way Todd Bowles could ever match what Rex did in the playoffs in those years. Jet nation is too full of people that really have no idea what they're talking about. They constantly shit on Rex for things that were outside of his control and the only reason I would not get tarred and feathered for speaking this truth is because the veil over Todd Bowles has come off and he looks like can of smashed assholes himself. That is what has lent this thread to be an area for debate.
the question was how he would do with the present team. did you not understand the question or could you not read it with rex nut in your eye?
