This could happen, but I expect redzone INTs are more likely...A disease that seems to be stuck with our QBs.
Revis will not play Sunday, you can bank on that. In typical fashion, Revis will claim injury and avoid the ass whooping. He has done it before and I see it happening now. The hamstring is the easiest injury to "fake". The first time he gets torched, oh i'm injured........... To avoid breaking my furniture Sunday, I will have to find a Jets bar on Long Island some where to watch this one. Any ideas fellas?
We should really look at Justin Forsett for immediate impact. He torched the Steelers for 150 yards last season
Was going to go to this game but I'm saving myself the embarrassment and the money. Steelers fans are also way too ignorant to sit through what probably will happen.
Steelers were badly beaten by a Carson wentz that was game managing and hitting his short and intermediate routes. Steelers were killed by Wentz to Sproles. We have a similar version of this we can use, Fitz to Powell. Eagles also ran all over Pitt in that game, 100+ yards. If we have a good game plan we have the tools do something similar to what Philly did to Pitt offensively. Defensively as I have said over and over Revis playing is big. If Revis is out I put Skrine on Brown. We must stop Bell somehow on the ground and turn the steelers into a pass happy offense. Getting them to not lean on Bell and the running game will be huge. If the defense can finally wake up and offense can find success with the game plan I just laid out we can do this.
I've been critical of the secondary in their technique of playing off, but after watching the Vikings yesterday, off coverage can be effective as they often play their corners off when they run that third down defense. They put 7 on the line and play their corners off, whereas we send blitzers from their spot and by the time the quarterback hits their back foot the ball is out and it's too late. One thing I also noticed about their corners is that they are squared up to the line of scrimmage and they're set in their off coverage. We often bail out cornerbacks off the ball before the balls snapped and they're left with the back facing the sideline and their body turned sideways leaving them absolutely no chance to come up and break on a short pass. This is coaching and it needs to be corrected. We can play off coverage but they need to be playing to be correct technique or we have no shot and teams can dink and dunk their way down the field. Oh and the fucking safeties need to make a god damn play and stop miscommunicating with each other. It's not the personnel. We have good enough players to get the job down to the point where the scheme shouldn't be so god damn complex. Dumb it down Bowles and enough with the confusing looks. It's not fooling anyone.
Jets win in a shoot-out 56-54. Pitt scores 54 in the opening qtr then takes foot off the gas. Ends up losing.
But seriously, if we want to beat the Steelers we just need to have some drunk 18yr old coeds hanging out the hotel bar. By the time Big Ben finishes raping them all, he'll miss kick-off and blame it on time zones.
If we fall behind early we are fucked. The last two games we have fallen behind and it has absolutely killed us.
your theory has legs. He sat out a matchup with Randy Moss in his prime...last year he sat out the matchup with Beckham Jr..... I could see him waiting to come back to avoid Brown
Well according to Bowles on Monday the secondary coverages are already simplified to a point where they can not be any easier. That tells me the problem with busted coverages is the players not the coaching....
You're saying they're stoopid? I wasn't going to watch it but the Jets are like a car wreck, you just can't look away. Steelers 45-13
