it is very apparent that Fitz is not a 3rd and 7 or 8 Quarterback, I do believe he can be more than adequate in 3rd and 2 or 3 situations.
Forte needs to have better runs and the tight ends floating to block for him are not getting it done, time to bring a lead blocker for him, if Bohannon is not on some other squad bring him back or get someone who can give Forte some room through the line.

Come to think of it, who is this Bohannon guy? I hope he's better than Bohanon.

Fitz hasn't been a 1st and 10 QB these last two weeks.

This team does not need a quarterback at first and ten. When's the last time you saw them throw the ball on first down? How productive have those first down runs been? It's like the guy that every pitcher in the league knows hasn't swung at a first pitch since high school.

In 2004 many on this board claimed Sam gash FB would solve all our problems mid season.

  8. There's no place for Bohannon on this team.

Not with the style of offense Gailey has settled on.I'm really not that upset about his scheme honestly. I think it fits the personnel on this team very well.I thought the switch to a zone blocking scheme has saved this OL from making this season even more nightmarish than it's already been. The team isn't as physical up front as they once were.Seems like they've gone away from that model. There is nothing wrong w. that as long as you identify the proper talent to bring in for zone.

The issue on offense has been Turnovers, execution & red zone play. Obviously Gailey should be held accountable like everyone else..but personally..aside from the 3rd & a foot shotgun stuff...he's better than Tony Sporano's wildcat any day.

Kurt. Nicely done. But the problem with Gailey's system is that it requires a QB that can make all the throws. Unfortunately, Fitz ain't it.

I'd rather sign Sam Gash today than Tommy Bohanon. Hell, I'd rather sign Sam Garnes, the safety from that era, than Tommy Bohanon.

To the OP's point, I do see the value of having an actual thumping fullback on this team. I would love to see what a guy like Lorenzo Neal could do against the little coverage linebackers that everyone uses these days. It would be a slaughter.

This thread is spot on, the Jets problems definitely center around Bohanon.

I hear Quinton Coples is out of work too. Wasn't he our best CB one year? Or was he just our best DT playing the CB position? Either way, I know we need secondary help.

I still think we should call Brett Favre.
