I haven't decided yet, but this may very well be the first Jets game - ever - that I don't even turn the TV on to watch.
Best thing for the Jets this week is that this is a road game..Another asskickin at home and Woody's biggest nightmare will come to pass. That being: empty seats..
Its a bad matchup any way you look at it. hopefully there's a monsoon or tsunami or something and the game is kept close because of the weather
I'm playing Devil's advocate here, but since 2000 we've played pretty competitively against the steelers, even during our bad seasons. In 2007 we were a 4 win team with one of them coming against Pitt who was a playoff team (I believe that might've been Tomlins 1st year). And 2 years ago the Jets looked unlike themselves the week against the Steelers with Jarrett getting 2 picks and a sack, Vick even started for us that week. The Jets did give up an 80 yard td to martavius atv the very end, which helped my fantasy team haha. I wouldn't be surprised is we upset the Steelers or lose a close one 17-13, with Fitz fumbling on our final drive in the red zone. I hope we win, especially since my neighbor in Florida is a Steelers fan!
true. not to burst your bubble but those upsets were at home and not on the road. 3 Rivers/Heinz Field has been a hornets nest for the Jets. Just steal your neighbor's terrible towel to clean up oil spills in the garage so you don't have to see him wave it
NEED to win time of Possession plain and simple Stop with these deep balls atleast for this week, run , run , run if it's not working short easy passes We are not gonna win in a shootout because the steelers would beat any team in the nfl in a shootout Also defensively let's make a big play! I mean cmon I don't remember the last defense or special teams touchdown we have had, force a fumble do something cmon
the last interception for a touchdown was week 7 of 2013 when Antonio Allen picked off Brady and took it to the house in a Jets 30-27 win. We have one of, if not the longest droughts in the league as it comes to pick 6s on defense....... meanwhile our QBs in that stretch have handed out pick 6s left and right. something has got to give
Anyone going to this game? I will be there with my buddy who is a Steelers season ticket holder. I plan on leaving by the end of the first quarter and heading into the casino. Should be 34-0 by that time.
Former Los Angeles Rams great and Hall of Famer Norm Van Brocklin's 554 yards in the 1951 season opener remains the most passing yards ever in a NFL game. The 16 quarterbacks who have passed for 500 yards in a NFL game. Two years ago Ben threw for 522 yards against the Colts
