Can't allow him to play 1v1 vs a top tier WR. It's time to do what New england did with him. Lock down the #2 (LaFell) and play man with safety help. Green doesn't beat you deep for a TD if their is help over the top.
Your 2017 starting secondary should include: Pryor SS, Revis FS. The one problem with that is.. Revis can't tackle by himself anymore and he doesn't hit very hard.
I got an alert that said Dalton had a perfect passer rating when throwing to AJ against Revis today. I blame Bowles more than Revis.. This is a continuation of last year.. Line up Revis on Watkins instead of doubling him and playing Revis on #2 guy. They did the same against Houston last year too with Hopkins and now again today with Green. Bowles hasn't learned from his mistakes, he was out-coached yet again. He's looking like another Herm or Rex.
If Revis gonna play that far off his man he should just go to FS now. Either that wrist is messed up or he's not sure of his ability to keep up with the speed burners.
i understand revis isn't the same player he is and he got worked today, but i'm not going to sit here and act like it's all his fault. andy dalton made some throws that could not be guarded and there was clearly a miscommunication error on that huge TD
I'm wondering if this has become a "respect" issue with Bowles and Revis. Its obvious to everyone except Revis that he isn't the shutdown corner he used to be. Bowles said he was gonna give him safety help but the safeties I'm not so sure know how to do that. They're so used to Revis being Revis that the concept of helping him just doesn't really click. Bowles should stop putting Revis in those situations and make Revis recognize that he's just not the guy anymore. Hopefully its not the contract that preventing the move to FS.
!st TD he was supposed to have safty help and didn't..... Its not just him Williams sucks period. he was beat like a drum all day.... and talking about coaching ...Cincy set up in that 3 wr set how many times and they never made the adjustment. This is on coaches as much as players ....

Cman, the FS is supposed to be the centerfielder, the last line of defense, and needs to be fast. If Revis isn't fast enough to cover WRs any more, how in the world do you expect him to be fast enough or successful playing FS?
I love how people squint over their beer cans at the stat line and make knee-jerk reactions based on the plays that they only see a small portion of on TV coverage. I'm not excusing all of the play of Revis but there was clearly several plays (2 of the biggest ones) that he was "beat" on where he was deliberately a few steps behind anticipating safety help that never materialized. When it comes to who I think made the mistake being it Revis or someone else, I'm going to say it was them. Physically he's not the same player but mentally he's as good as they come.

Ok, let's decide here... is Revis no good anymore, or is he not the 16 million dollar man anymore? It's a given that he's not the same guy as he was 6-7 years ago, but AJ Green puts up 1300 yards every year, they ain't all against Revis.
