nice job with the upgrades...i was having problems logging in with mozilla firefox so i couldn't post unless i used IE...which i don't like...now i can join in on the conversations again...thanks
i just noticed that the 2005 jets schedule is still up there.. whats up with that?... also what times kick off tomorw?
I notice the new forum logo up top as well as a new green. It's going to take some time getting used to.
I may be in the minority, and I know posting this will not get anything changed, but I actually dislike the changes. I think there are too many forums now, and I can't go into BS - then click up top on "General Discussion" - then go to NFL. Now theres an extra link up top, after two years of clicking in the same spot I am still doing it, but it's not the thing I want to click on. I know, I will get used to it, ut it just seems like theres too much stuff now. I liked it plain and simple how it was before. Like I really don't think there's a need to have Jets news and a Jets regular discussion two seperate forums. It just seems unneccesary and over-done. The only other thing I noticed is nothing big, but the banner up top just seems a little plain. I like the new graphic on the left, but the right side needs some sprucing up. Sorry if I come off as disrespectful or anything, because I don't mean to be. I appreciate all the work you put into this site for us, Petro. Thank you.
Let me try to answer this: The first paragraph, I guess that's not really a problem, but something getting used to. I always clicked on the link that says TheGangGreen.com Message Board. That remained the same. What changed was that the new Jets forums were placed into a group for themselves. So by clicking on the first New York Jets link, you would have all the Jets forums displayed. As for there being too many forums, I can see why people think this way. We did some sort of an internal study as far as getting an idea of what people think of expanding the number of forums, and there was an ungodly amount of support for it, more than I ever expected. Part of the reason is to clear up some of the "light" threads (stuff that now goes into the Jets Experience forum) from the main discussion forum and emphasize the threads about the team as it stands now. I know that it doesn't bug some people, but it does for others. The part about Jets news and the Jets regular discussion being in separate forums, I am trying to fix that. The types of threads that I'd like to see in the Newswire forum is more of the off-field variety. By no means should important breaking news such as signings, trades, etc. be in that forum. I'd say that's more for General Articles, Power Rankings, Stadium news, etc. I am trying to clear this up. We do appreciate the constructive criticism
don't know if its been mentioned but the ability to find out if the thread you are starting has already been made could be a useful addition for some people
