I think James Franklin has been vindicated. Yes there was a change of system after Bill O'Brien left that may have led to Hackenberg's value going down. But the facts are the kid can't hit the broad side of a barn. You can see Hackenberg has the arm talent,but his decision making is horrible. The jury is still out, but I think this where our intrepid GM thought he was smarter than everyone and right now he's looking like the village idiot.

What is up with you DUDE First of all, I don't think I know more than the men who are running the front office. They are at the practices, watching the tape. They' ve had years of experience. But they are not always right. As of now, drafting Hackenberg looks like a mistake. Key phrase "As of now..." He looks terrible. DUDE..take off your blinders and get a reality check.
Many people on this board (Including me) have put down Geno Smith for his poor Rookie performance in 2013. He was awful. He still won 8 games though somehow. Not sure Hackenberg could win 1. Pretty sure he could if the D came through for him. He is FAR off though, for a 2nd Round pick. Scary, but hopefully he makes a lot of progress this offseason and shows up to camp in 2017 much better. To be fair tonight, the young man mentally prepared to start the 3rd Quarter. So being thrown into the game in the 1st Quarter may have thrown him off.

I personally loved the selection of Hackenberg there in the 2nd round (after getting Lee in the 1st). Who would you of selected over Hackenberg there in the 2nd round...?
