Fitz is starting. That's why they paid him $12 million + incentives for the year. Hack was never starting this year. They need to find out what's up for backup QB so they needed to give Geno and more importantly Petty a lot of snaps. Hack will play week 4 and that will be the last you hear of him until next year.
This isn't saying much consideirng the fact we're starting a below average starting qb, have a bust of asecond round pick, a qb wh couldn't tell the differences between different defensive fronts and another qb who was a terrible for the last two seasons of his collegiate career. Seems like a great situation to me.
And if he doesn't take a snap? Geno or Petty will start, and the odd man out will play deep into the 3rd/4th Qtr. Hack, a second round pick that played at Penn St as a starter, will hand the ball off until the clock runs out. What a great choice by the front office with our 2016 2nd round pick! We could have taken anything besides QB, and benefitted this team way into the future. The only reason we took Hack was because he would have been our #3, with Fitz on the team we don't need a #4! If Hack is so problematic with all this mechanical crap, why did we get him in the 2nd? excuses
Sure, it would be nice to see Hackenberg get a series or two just to satisfy our curiosity but since there are no plans to have him play in any games this year there are bigger fish to fry right now. Sorry, guys, these games are not played for your instant gratification but to actually be key components in important business making decisions - deal with it. Maybe he'll get a little time against Philly but even that would probably be a disservice to those guys actually working to get to the high side of the bubble.
And you talk just like you have Hack's nuts in each of your jaws. Why would you defend our team fucking up by drafting Hackenburg? Do we need 4 Qb's? Truth be known, we used Hack in an attempt to gain leverage against Fitz contract negotiations for this year. If Hack is in our future, it can only mean Geno is on the way out.
Of course Geno is on the way out. Don't mistake my trying to help you out by explaining the situation to you as defending Hack. It's no my fault you're too emotional to process the facts of the situation for yourself and come to a logical conclusion. You actually think the Jets blew a 2nd round pick to to help negotiate a 1 year deal with a journeyman QB? hahahahaha special.
So you think they are faking this pre-season QB competition between Geno and Petty, and one of those two are on the way out? If it's Geno, why not just cut him already? And you think I'm the special one? If Geno was on his way out, Hack would be taking snaps. But he isn't/hasn't. Me too emotional? You called me the cunt, who was emotional? I would say you are too young to understand football.
They aren't faking anything. They're looking at both QB's and it's become pretty obvious after two preseason games that Geno is going to be the odd man out. There are only so many snaps in a football game.
Look out, Abyz the English teacher is here to correct all words and spellings he disagrees with. He might as well, football is too complex. Lol
