Here is the thing about Foles had a rough year with a terrible o-line in st. louis and no quality wr's. ( Tavon Austin is a gadget player and not a 1 wr). Look at him when he was in philly with Jackson, Cooper and Maclin, 27td, hell I think at one point it was 30 td's and 2 ints. That is not luck, no one is that lucky in the nfl. Foles offers a possibility, and I am swearing a small possibility that with Marshall, Decker and Forte we could make some noise in the AFC. Fitz does not offer this, Geno is completely unknown, Foles could be, I swear could be a franchise qb in the right system with the right pieces. ( he would also make Smith look a hell of alot better as a deep threat). If he completely shits the bed than it is what it is, its not like the first time a qb has done that to us before. It is worth the risk of finding a young qb with a future that can lead us to competent and even great qb play than rely on a complete unknown or a journey man qb that has never made the postseason.
Bad signing by Jets. FitzTragic isn't worth the $12M he's getting which can be $15M w/ incentives. Foles would've been cheaper but not sure he would've been better.
I dont remember why Philly let him go? ?? Someone please remind me...all i remember is all the highlights and deep throws he was making. Fitz cant utilize Smiths speed.

agreed. $12 million wasted, imo. i hope that i am wrong. buffalo thought he was more than he is, and after signing him to a mega contract, he regressed. only positive is that it is only a one year deal.
