At this point with all this Fitz drama I'd say, bring him in and talk to him, give it a day or two, and if Fitz doesn't budge you sign Foles and move on.

I rather have Foles for cheap instead of overpaying Fitz the underachiever.

The opinion that the Rams had on Foles should be revealing about the guy. I'd be interested in Foles if Geno shows nothing during TC and the pre-season, apart from that, Foles is a backup who had one great season.

The jets have the advantage because he has a real chance to start here. A 1 year deal could make sense and let him battle it out with geno. The loser of the battle would get cut at the end of training camp.

Plus the fact that is 27 and has had success is a good sign.

I'll take everyone over Fitz. Hell. Send Fitz a copy of Nick's contract to screw with him.

Refresh my memory- did he play with Shady? Was he good at hitting backs out of the backfield?

If yes, and we have Forte, sign him.

Do people remember anything about Nick Foles other than his unbelievable fluke of a 10-game stretch three years ago?

Foles should be used for leverage at most, competition for Geno at best. Anointing that guy starter would be a huge mistake, but luckily our coaching staff and front office probably has done their homework a little more thoroughly than TGG.

Idk who would be better. I think our system is really QB friendly and whoever is starter will have success. I really want to see Geno go off.

I think Foles would have some potential and the fact he is 6'6 is awesome. I don't think he's great but our offense is similar to what he ran in '13. I will say this, when I saw Foles play his rookie year he looked like a complete bum.

Ducks and inaccuracy galore. It was terrible.

He's 6'6" and moves like a guy who is 6'6". You need a somewhat mobile QB in this system and Foles is anything but. Total statue.

How is Miami going to sign him? Aren't they at the max with Mike T giving away money likes he is Robin Hood?

It could be done. If he beats out Geno you don't not start him cause he isn't mobile. I would like him on this team. Not necessarily starting. I think 2016 is the year of the GENO.

1 year deal would be great. You would have 2 young guys in a contract year dueling it out for the job. This competition would help both of them

Is anyone even saying they should anoint him the starter?

you know i totally agree. Fitz has inflated opinion of self. Most of his success last year was against weak D and was because brandon marshall made some great catch and runs. When the money was on the line Fitz choked twice against rex ryan who everyone else beat. Fitz has a weak arm and his career record is still some 20 games below .500. move on now--see if he likes golfing.

I am not a Foles supporter, but his mobility is not the issue. Foles doesn't get rid of the ball quick enough. Peyton and Brady were slow 15 years ago and they still got it done. It's all about getting the ball out quickly, you don't need to be Cam Newton to be successful in this league

Well yea obviously, you play the best QB. I'm just saying I think Geno would beat him out in Gailey's eyes and Foles total lack of mobility would be a factor.

Well when you have people saying they want to replace the incumbent starter with Foles, it logically implies you want Foles to have the job.

It's not his biggest issue at all, but when you aren't really good in any other facet of the game, it doesn't help that you can't extend plays with your legs.
