Just over a month ago Jets head coach Todd Bowls told BM that he wanted the Elite Wide out to trim down to 230 pounds and maintain that weight throughout the season. Today BM was weighed in at training camp at 225. His starting weight before bowls spoke to BM was 244. Brandon says he feels fantastic.
Dropping 20 pounds can do a lot for your speed. That's nearly 8% of his weight that he lose. Will probably result in him being able to get open even more often, break away from a few more tackles.
Marshall must've agreed to lose weight in exchange for a pinky swear to resign fitz. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
We honestly could not of asked Marshall for more than what he gave last year. His catch radius, ability to catch in traffic, his blocking in the run game was just incredible. Now, you add a faster Marshall to the mix? I can't wait to see what he'll be able to do.
Nope. With Marshall gone, defenses double Decker and stack the box and we have an impotent offense (see 2013, 2014). Marshall opens everything up.
If you want to look at it that way then Mangold Marshall Wilk. Without mangold i am not sure we field anything close to a competitive offense
Hate to be Buzz Killington, but this bet that Marshall made with Brown annoys the hell out of me. Why is our standout offensive guy making a high-profile bet that involves personal accomplishments?? Because it's "fun"? So is ping-pong. Why don't they just play ping-pong for the car and leave their personal statistics out of it. God forbid Marshall is even .01% distracted by this bet while we're trying to win games down the stretch. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...nges-pittsburgh-steelers-wr-antonio-brown-bet
Wow is this the same man who proclaimed he had Borderline Pers Disorder??? The guy has made a complete turn around Must also be because the guy with the Beard gives him Therapy,,heh
Porsche and the Jets put Marshall up to it, probably a marketing ploy. It's the same Porsche Revis and Curtis Martin were in when they did the video to announce Porsche is the official car of the Jets. Also, the car is on a display "pedestal" in front of Atlantic Health, that's not Marshall's car.
Brandon Marshall (2015): 109 receptions, 1,502 receiving yards & 14 TD receptions. Regardless of era there's never been an N.Y Jets receiver to (ever) put up these types of statistical numbers in which Marshall just put up during 2015. • Not Don Maynard. • Not Wesley Walker. • Not Al Toon. • Not Keyshawn Johnson. • Not Wayne Chrebet. • Not Laveranues Coles. • Not Santana Moss. • Not Jerricho Cotchery. Not to take anything away from these NYC receivers of the past but during only Brandon Marshall's 1st and only season as a Jet; he's already put up the most prolific year in which any Jets WR has ever recorded. 109 receptions, 1,502 receiving yards along with 14 TD receptions goes down as the most dominant single season receiving performance our franchise & fan base has ever witnessed. It's nice knowing that he's not only met Bowles weight request but also shredded off another 5 pounds to spare. Goes to show he's been focused while taking his offseason regiments seriously but Marshall's overall game has never been built around speed nor quickness. Only his naturual ability due to his size & strength is how he's made a living. He won't be losing neither of his size nor strength anytime soon either so therefore, even at the age of 32, we should all look forward to and expect another 3 years of dominant performance/production out of Marshall moving forward. As far as being dominant he's the most dominting Jets WR I've ever seen & you'd be hard pressed listing off 5 current #1 outside WR' s in which impact the game quite like #15. He's completely turned his mentality around since becoming a Jet too. Saying & doing all the right things. Giving both Fitzpatrick & Geno his approval. Very vocal in support of Fitz & just the other day stated how he loves Geno. Wish we would've got this version of Brandon 5 years ago he's matured into the opposite of a trouble maker while transforming into an actual leader both on & off the field.
We swapped a fifth for a seventh and Marshall. Drop down two rounds and receive arguably the best WR in Jets history. I'll take the trade every time.
I would care more if winning the bet didn't involve kicking ass on the football field. in that case who cares. if he outplays Antonio Brown they can swap wives for all I care
