http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...it-official-add-defensive-end-leger-douzable/ Very good depth signing imo. Versatile player, well liked leader in the locker room, and already knows the system and coaching staff. Waiting to hear the numbers, but I'm assuming real cheap. Still not sure why we went with Jenkins at +3M per year rather than re-signing Douz for depth.
I'll miss Douazble, but it looks like Jenkins is a far better player with more potential to disrupt offenses.
Ruh roh... Douzable/IK= Championship Douzable is a role player that's familiar with Rex. From the sound of it Rex needs as many allies as he can get up there.... Has Archer shown up yet?
Jenkins has been a disappointment until last season, where he was serviceable. He may prove to be an upgrade, but nothing in his past would suggest he is a far better player. It's only a minor gripe, as we are talking about rotational depth. But i would've kept Douzable at the minimum if he was willing to sign for that.
needed another captain for the 2 games this year? seriously, good signing for them. douzable is a good depth player
Too bad, I always liked the kid. Rex is eating up all the Jets FAs. I feel that it's inevitable that Mo Wilks will eventually end up on the Bills as well and that makes me sick.
We have plenty of more cuts to make yet.... Jenkins is younger and a little bigger. My guess he's more stout, and he had 4 sacks last year. Losing Snacks was a consideration, I thought, when we signed Jenkins. I thought that was a good move at the time. Douzable was good for us overall, but he didn't do much last year. Obviously TB decided to move on.
I strongly disagree. He was very solid and behind one of the best D-lines in the league, so he didn't stick out as much. Good depth signing at the very least for Buffalo. They are a better team than we are going into this year, by far.
Yeah I exaggerated, but I did get a little excited when I saw this article about him. http://jetswire.usatoday.com/2016/05/12/top-25-jets-of-2016-no-24-jarvis-jenkins-defensive-end/
I agree with your thoughts on Douzable. He looked good in limited action, and will be a very nice addition for Buffalo's depth and leadership. not so sure Buff is a more talented team than the Jets though. I think they are quite similar from a talent perspective. tiebreaker comes down to the question marks each team has at QB imo. Buffalo needs Taylor to stay healthy, and i'm not so sure he will. the Jets need Fitz back, and who knows at this point if that will happen or not.
I'm still very jaded from the last game of the season. It left a VERY bad taste in my mouth, especially regarding our Head Coach. He is in my doghouse until proven otherwise. Also very worried about our O-line. I think that might be the biggest concern.
They will sign Geno next year which coincides with the 3 and out that Rex will have perfected with his HC career in Buffalo.
