Where does the trio of Marshall, Decker & Forte rank amongst opposing NFL trio's?

We all know chances are we won't feature a top 5-10 quarterback, so outside of the QB position; where would you rank the trio of Forte, Marshall & Decker?

It's no secret that the duo of Marshall & Decker at receiver rank either #1 or top 3 for receiving duo's. So with the addition of an overall/all around HB in Matt Forte both running the ball with strong field vision as well as catching out of the backfield ability... Would it be fair/logical to consider this trio as being top 5 if not top 3 in regards to trio's surrounding the QB position?

If not, which top 5 NFL trio's would you rank ahead of Forte, Marshall & Decker?

I'm used to rooting for top 5-10 defenses dating back to 2009 under Rex. But I'm not really accustomed to talking top 5-10 in terms of our offensive talent/ability. It's truthfully been dating back to 1998 under Vinny with a trio of Martin, Keyshawn & Chrebet since I've last felt that we stood a chance at featuring a dynamic, top tier type of offense.

I'm just starting to feel that if Clady can replace Ferguson without missing a beat at LT this current trio surroundings our QB position can actually give us a top 5-10 offensive unit.

Of course if one of either Amaro, Enunwa or Smith can give us another weapon/improved production that'll go along ways to prevent predictability but overall it appears on paper as if we haven't featured a trio as dynanic as Forte/Marshall/Decker dating back to 98' w/ Martin/Keyshawn/Chrebet.

Elite but old. The window for this trio is most likely 2016 and 2017, so after that we need replacements. But unless Fitz returns or Geno takes a huge leap forward, we'll waste it.

Personally I like Elliott / Bryant / Witten. Perhaps not better than our group, but they have a better starting QB. Also the Steelers with Brown and Bell.

Yea. I'm really not too sure of the insight of those whom were spreading those false rumors.

Even before Decker was blessed to play alongside Manning he still put up 44 receptions, 612 receiving yards & 8 TD receptions during his 2nd season (1st year starter) with i believe... Tim Tebow. Proof in itself he could be productive alongside any QB.

Decker's style of play would be productive for any QB due to not only his red-zone ability but he's one of the better possession receivers in the game. Very smart as well. Can also play both the outside & slot positions.

    He's a gamer.

at this point I am glad that was the rap on him before he got here. It helped us get him for cheaper than we would've if teams weren't scared that he was just a product of Manning

Depends on who's throwing the ball to them... they could be great, they could be meh.

Decker retires after his contract expires. Called it before, calling it now.

They're very good though. As stated earlier in the thread, next offseason is going to be a big retooling period for the skill positions of the future. That's why I would've chose to draft a runningback (over resigning Powell at least) this year so we're not scrambling to find replacements for all 3, especially with Devin Smith's stunted development.

The defense should stay intact and still be very good in 2017/2018 with or without Wilkerson/Richardson. The offense was built for last year and this year and could fully be a disaster for those two years especially if none of these quarterbacks can throw the ball better than Brett Ratliff.

Grams says they rank up in the top 5 but Grams is dead so she could be wrong.

Eric Decker has been good wherever he went and with whomever was throwing the ball to him.

He caught 227 passes at Minnesota for over 3,000 yards in his college career with Adam Weber throwing him the ball. Then he caught 44 balls from Tebow and Orton in Denver leading the team in 2011. That he got Peyton Manning was fortuitous for his career but he caught 74 balls from Geno Smith and Michael Vick in 2014 in 15 games and then he caught 80 last year from Fitzpatrick in 15 games.

He's Wayne Chrebet with size and speed. Turning him into Peyton's creation is ridiculous given his numbers elsewhere with far lesser QB's.

The last trio I thought had this much talent was Philly with DJax/Maclin/McCoy.

Cincy with Green Eifert and their RB duo is pretty top tier. Same with the Jags IMO.

If Bryant was playing for PIT this year I'd say they have a clear edge, but there isn't another WR duo or + RB trio I would prefer right now over ours.

They won't rank shit without a QB to throw or hand off the ball, and right now all we have is shit at QB.

Did you watch the last 2 seasons Peyton played?

Peyton Manning = product of Eric Decker

They have got to be up there with the best. It'll be sad watching their ability with GeNO every week. But looks like that's our lot.
