Same tough defense that couldn't stop decimated Buffalo team , or Oakland offense that went up and down the field against that defense.

The Jets don't have a Denver type of defense that you need to win like that.
The Jets won two games against winning teams last year( one if you don't count the Patriots who were missing most of their key players) .

The Jets have makings of pretty darn good offense. The Qb situation and the offense line - downgrades the offense potential big time.( Wr- still need someone to get the football to them).

The Jets were the ones with injury issues both against the Bills and the Raiders.

The Broncos won the Super Bowl with a sub par qb.

Just admit that you're either a troll or don't know anything about football and we can all have a big laugh.

They were 2-2 against winning teams....saying they only won 2 games against winning teams is misleading

The Jets are right in the mix with the Chiefs, Raiders, Bengals, Bills, Ravens, Steelers, Texans Colts.......All of these teams have some things better than the Jets and some things worse but to act like they outclass us overall is ridiculous

All teams have flaws wake up

The Bills swept us last year (and creamed us when Geno was QB) and they had a great draft.

To say we are even with them is a stretch.

Raiders beat us last year and have gotten better in the offseason.

Texans beat us with Hoyer and now have a real QB.

In the NFL power rankings we are currently ranked last in the AFC East (24th overall).

Forget all the QB drama for a moment. Get excited about first-round pick Darron Lee, a linebacker who could enter the starting lineup with the Jets' veteran group almost immediately. OLB Jordan Jenkins out of Georgia could make an impact, as well, potentially providing coach Todd Bowles with this really neat football-related thing called "sacks from someone not named Muhammad Wilkerson." Back to the quarterback: I dived into the Christian Hackenberg pick Saturday. Solution: Give the veteran nucleus a veteran QB.

First the Bengals are very good on both sides of the ball. ( they consistently won the last few year in the regular season. They are too good to not be a playoff team.

When have the Jets ever been a good matchup against the Ravens. Dumervil and Suggs will have their way with Jets offense line. The Ravens had a lot of injuries last year that played a bigger part in their down season.( you know they will bounce back big time. Mike Wallace with Joe Flacco could be comeback player of the year.

The Steelers defense isn't the best, but there offense is as good as any in the league. I don't care what defense you put out there against them, they are going to score points. Do you really see the Jets being able to match that offense point for point. ( again Qb situation, and big questions on offense line.

Browns - this is one of the wins we can count on .

The Chiefs have much more than Houston . They have some big time players on that defense line.( Dee Ford isn't a too shabby replacement for Houston ).

There are elite game changing pass rushers who take over a game , and than there is Muhammad Wilkerson( who going to be sitting out all preseason - will be back a week before the season starts.. Just a different type of rusher, and why the Jets are reluctant to pay his price and give him a longterm contract. These teams have multiple pass rushers also- not to mention a better Qb, and offense line.

I wish you were right and this was a jet playoff team. It isn't as other teams have gotten much better. The Jets should have done a full rebuild, and not done it the way they went about it. It just going to take longer to get where we want this team to go.

I don't understand the mentality of complaining about how another guy negotiates his employment conditions, particularly when his hand is not in the complainer's pocket.

Who has ever called a family member, co-worker or anyone other than a pro athlete "greedy" for asking for a raise?

Rankings mean very little, as Jets always play better when no one counting on them.

I just think the Jets have more holes on their team than the other teams we will be competing against for a playoff spot.( not to mention they have more favorable schedule than the Jets do.).

Biggest disappointment this offseason is the Jets are trying to develop two young Qb's , and there biggest move is drafting a developmental offense lineman( Shell in the fifth- no sure thing). More young Qb's are ruined behind porous offense lines. Enough wasn't done on the offense line this offseason. Clady hasn't been the same since that lis franc injury. ( he might never be the player he once was).

It doesn't change the facts. It's like the people still trying to prop up Smith, we had two years of him and he absolutely sucks, he is worse that Sanchez ever was and Sanchez was atrocious.

We were 10-6 and the Bills were 8-8....just because they were a bad matchup for us and and Fitz doesn't mean they're better overall. I'm just saying we're on the same level

Texans and Raiders we ran into a buzzsaw at a bad time at their places but again overall I don't think it's crazy to suggest they're in the same class of teams over a 16 game schedule

They both had worse records than us as well

Im not saying the Jets are better or worse but to suggest that we won't even be in the mix for a wildcard is just being pessimistic at this point

Las Vegas is unbiased and has us right at 8 wins so like I said before, a few bounces here or there and getting to 9 or 10 wins isn't crazy

Any team with a defense as good as ours is going to be in most games anyway

Yes the facts that I presented do not change the facts that I referenced. I was just pointing out that pre season power ranking can be comically inaccurate.

I'm not sure why your quoting me except for the fact that your "facts" are opinions that don't have facts to back them up.

So maybe you're quoting a post filled with facts to distract us from the fact that you have no facts to back up your opinion.

I'd copy and paste the Sanchez and Smith #s for you showing that they're very similar but that's been done to death... Plus you'd probably get confused by facts.

As things stand right now the Jets should be #3 in the AFC East behind the Pats and Bills and in front of the Fins. If they get Fitzpatrick back they should be #2 in the AFC East behind the Pats and in front of the Bills and Fins.

Yeah, the Bills got some decent players this off-season. They also lost Mario Williams, who was a pretty big deal in that defense over the last three seasons. He had an off-year last year at 30 and is likely trending downwards sharply at this point but he was an All-Pro in 2014.

Jets need their big guns if they want to make the playoffs, that's both sides of the ball.

So a team got a "real QB" when he only played in 7 games?
