lol cuz after years of being in the right I trust my player evaluations. I'm always at odds with who we choose and guess what our last ten drafts have turned out to suck ass.

As I said in an earlier response. Hack did nothing to change my opinion. This isn't about Hack. It's about Mac, and my respect for him and trust in him until he proves that he isn't trustworthy. If this turns out to be an awful pick in a couple of years, I'll join you in panning it and holding Mac's feet to the fire for it, but will probably understand why he rolled the dice on Hack. That's the difference.

I'm not acting that way. Most drafts recently haven't yielded much of anything in the way of QBs.

Brady may have been a 1 in a million pick, but the bottom line is that it paid off. If this move pays off, the Jets will be sitting pretty. He has a ton of talent, has played in an NFL offense, is used to running a huddle, reading Ds, and adjusting plays at the LOS. He has a cannon for an arm. Considering where the Jets will likely be picking, it's a reasonable and worthy risk to take Hack imo.

Everytime we draft any QB this place is miserable.

    Love the Hackenberg pick.

Brady wasn't even thought of highly enough to be a 2nd rounder.

The point is so many teams are overvaluing and overdrafting these average QB prospects

Can some turn out good? Yeah. But it's not likely.

Well thats not me. I think we have a QB in Fitz and could've addressed this area with either Cook who is still out there , or in a future draft.

    ROFLMAO!

To begin with, after I saw that one game of Wentz, I went and looked at a love of video on him. I also looked at a number of Goff's games. My record of picking QBs who will be successful in the NFL is much better than the ones I miss on. The "eye test" is important to me with QBs. I can usually spot pretty quickly whether they look like the real deal to me or not. I don't claim to always be right or to know more than NFL scouts or GMs. When I'm wrong, I'm man enough to readily admit unlike you and bunch of other losers on this board.

My apologies are sincere. You know nothing about me.

Criticizing a pick, the GM, the HC or whatever is fine. It's the over the top manner in which you and others have been raving like lunatics the last couple of days which is ridiculous. You sound like whiny little girls.

The 2 tweets above should tell fans all they need to know about how much of a "project" the Jets brass think Hackenberg is.

Hackenberg dealt with a lot of things at Penn State, and was a different QB under two different coaches and philosophies. He excelled in a pro style offense, and has a very high football acumen. Given proper tutelage, which Chan Gailey has a reputation of providing, I can see Hackenberg becoming a very good NFL QB.

It took major balls for Maccagnan to make this pick where he made it. Given that a GM has to find his QB early and Macc had access to Bill O'Brien in Houston for awhile and O'Brien was the guy who recruited and coached Hackenberg at PSU I'm ready to give the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Are you throwing out your QB draft scale of anybody drafted after 35 (or whatever) is risky?
