Free spirits have a bad track record in the NFL in recent years. This reminds me a little bit of the Ricky Williams situation, although obviously until he proves he can't quit smoking weed he's not there yet.
History keeps repeating itself with this team. Tell me if you read this book before. Rookie CS/FO takes over after a bad season, "overachieve" against weak schedule, addresses short-term needs in the off-season, struggle against tougher schedule in sophomore season, blow things up in the off-season, become a bottom feeding team in the third season, gets fired. Rinse and repeat.
Lot of players I'd like to see us get tomorrow. Cook, Jack, Michael Thomas among them. Gonna be a fun day.
Another OT gone. I hope spriggs lasts but I doubt it. Martin or Whitehair would make a nice addition. Maybe even Hunter henry.
Not going there at this time. Can't equate this pick right now to that fiasco. Besides, if Wilson played to his ranking, and wasn't a pussy about returning punts, it could've been okay. But leave it to Rex to draft a cover2 CB and think he can will a guy into something he's not. That's what Rex did worst of all imo, with a bunch of the picks that were made while he was here.
The reason why the Wilson pick was a fail was because they were thinking about the immediate need at nickel rather than getting the BPA. Even if they wanted a CB, the thought process should have been to pick the CB that projects to be the best not the one you think would be the best inside. You take the best CB and play him inside if you have to.
My opinions of Tanny as a GM here is not as toxic as the rest of you so it's as much of an insult as you think it is.
Whatever. Fuck Rex and Tanny. I don't want to begin to think that Mac and TB are going down their path.
