That's why every mock draft had him going in the first round.

Its a message board... Also every year professional scouting departments make terrible decisions so while yes they know better they arent beyond criticism.

exactly.... the point isnt that lee is some bum, no one is saying that. i think he will become a fan favorite and fit in well in this defense. but we could have taken someone to fill that role later, and instead took someone who could have provided a long term starter and impact player at 20. or trade down and aquire picks and then draft lee or a comporable player

Lol exactly after they were complaint about Williams pick last year. It could turn out to be the best pick

Paxton Lynch is a long term proejct.

Who's to say we didn't try to trade back either?

Let's see what he does rounds 2-7 before getting upset. I don't like the pick either, but I know I don't want a Dee Milliner 2.0 when it comes to Jack. There's a reason why many teams have passed on him.

I could understand not liking the position that we took , but nobody knows what kinda player this kid is gonna be. Could be a Pro Bowler , could be a bust. I remember a ton of Jet fans not loving the Sheldon, Mangold , Harris and Brick picks..but loving Stephen Hill and Dwayne Robertson.

Its a need that was filled , cant fill em all with 1 pick.

I don't know shit about this guy, but the early returns from morons and trolls are promising.

"Too small, never will play in the NFL."

"Too small, his height is smaller than reported because I saw him on TV once."

"He's a defensive pick and I don't like that, so he will fail."

    This gives me hope.

the point was just because he is a gm and we are fans doesnt automatically mean he is going to be right all the time.

I mean you could say that about every GM including Idzik, Bradway and Tanny

I think Macc has earned the benefit of the doubt for the moment though.

He's a giant compared to London Fletcher. Let's not call him a bust in April.

He definitely wasn't on my radar and I'm a little worried about his size...but I'll wait to see how things shake out before jumping to conclusions like some people.

For the guys who are concerned about the pick, do yourself a favor. Look at Shaq Thompson for the Carolina Panthers, selected 25th last year, same size and speed as Lee.

Watch how well he plays behind the defensive lineman and next to Kuchley, I know the jets don't have a Kuchley type MLB, but Harris is solid and Mauldin, Williams, Wilkerson and Richardson will allow him to fill his role just fine.

I like the balance of speed and power the Jets have with their front 7.
